They ended iOS 12 use

So Expedia decided that all users who still use the perfectly usable iOS 12 no longer get to access to the app and instead have to use a web browser. SAME THING REALLY just that the app has a different interface. But for whatever reason they turned off the apps functionality in less than iOS 13

I used to love Expedia and used them often. I booked a flight that was impacted because of Covid. Since then I’ve requested information on my refund or airline credits and have been hung up on every time I’ve called requesting an update. It’s been over a month since my last “we’ll update you” message. I don’t plan on continuing to use this service.

I made a 3-night hotel reservation when it looked like my son and daughter in law would be stuck in Dallas during a layover in a winter storm. I based the reservation on fact that I could cancel. Their flight did make it out ( last one out after a four hour delay), so I canceled on app. I get it that tonight may not be refunded, but got a virtual app assistant message that said things had changed since I made my reservation so I was only able to be credited just a fraction. There is no way to talk to a love person.

I used my flight itinerary from Expedia to book a room for the end of February. Unfortunately the room was booked for a January weekend instead. I called the hotel the morning of my first nights stay to reschedule foe the correct weekend and they said their policy is to charge me for the entire stay because I didn’t contact them 24 hours prior. I was alerted by the text I received from the hotel which prompted my call. Expedia contacted them and they were told the same policy and apologized and explained most times the hotel will charge one night not all three in this case. I called twice to speak to a manager because I still intended to stay three nights on the appropriate weekend to my flight. The manager never would answer the phone or call me to rectify or discuss the error. They charged me for three nights I never stayed. Terrible service and seems to be a theme given other reviews. Stay away from a no service, no communication staff. Terrible experience.
