Great game

Production values are high all around. Great graphics, sound, and gameplay. Lots to level up. No stupid energy requirements just to play the game. All around solid TD game. Played this game along time ago. Reinstalled recently, started all over, still enjoying it.

Solid TD game

One of my favorite TD games. The production values are high across the board. Great graphics, sound, and gameplay. My complaint would be the pacing, especially early game. Everything just seems a bit too slow. Sometimes it drives me nuts how slow the fire rate is on your towers. Also some of the levels are just too short with not many places to put towers. Overall though I really enjoy this game. Good original music as well. Lastly, it is not pay to win. I’ll buy some souls just to support the game. You will need to do some grinding, but it’s fun so I don’t mind.

Just ok

Graphics and gameplay itself is great. The level design and overwhelming “pay to win” design is what makes this just another BAD game. You either have to spend countless hours grinding on previous levels just to get your towers strong enough to do anything to the next level, or.....pay until your wallet is dry to only move forward a tiny amount. This game falls in line with all of the others that hopefully receive bad reviews for this type of layout. Plus, the customer support is nothing but auto replies and nothing gets accomplished with any actual issues with the game. I hope this review is read by others and gets them to avoid this game and not to get sucked into it by the FALSE four or five star reviews, created by the people who created the game. Again, just another BAD, pay to win game.

Plus and minus

The towers are fun and the upgrades are unique and strategic. But the levels are lacking and paths are short, just replaying a lot of the same levels on different difficulties resulting in less than its potential for challenge. Biggest complaints are 1) it is the only game that constantly asks for a password for itunes when it shouldnt even be using my itunes, and 2) it crashes 1/20 times i play it, and yes u have to grind alot so that is at least once a day. Could easily be 5 stars if these issues were fixed.

Meh.

TL;DR: Not worth your time. Look elsewhere for strong level design and balance that will keep you playing. I'd recommend the ones from a certain assassin flightless bird from down under. Pros: Not a lot of defense games out there where you play the "bad guys". MacHellman's clear resemblance to Hellboy, and the many other pop culture references are amusing little treats. There's a wide variety of towers to give you a wide variety of tactical options. You literally never HAVE to spend money to get a lot of play time out of this game. Cons: Grinding. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and *¥€%ing ***LOTS*** of grinding just to get a few very minor upgrades, requiring TEN TIMES that amount of grinding to be able to purchase enough upgrades to actually make a tangible difference on the battlefield. And the upgrades that make the most positive difference, such as starting cash and cash per kill are capped at a level that makes them barely even useful at all. And no matter how much grinding you do and siuls you save up, you cannot exchange for gold. This, combined with extremely poor and unimaginative level design to create artificial challenge makes the game go downhill very quickly after the first four stages.

Great game but falls short with the grind

Update- 1-8-2018 I upped the stars to 5/5. Why? Because it is truly free and you don’t see that lately in TD games. Also, I still believe the standard difficulty needs to be lowered but Once you get towers leveled up you can easily 3* any level. I would like to see more added as far as content and also paid heroes. Like the hell dude. ********* I really like this game but as others have stated, you don’t get upgrade souls quick enough. You can easily unlock the new areas without paying. Just repeat level 1 on the last difficulty which is very easy. This is where it gets meh. I love TD games where I need to grind a bit to get stronger. However, I have grinded several hours and every level past the first zone is harder than heck. I mean there are like 5 difficulties in each level yet the first ones are too hard to 3 star? So... the game needs either a tone down of the first difficulty level or more souls earned. Like even a one time iap soul doubler.

A fun game.

I play it a few times a year on long plane trips and never get bored. Worth a try.

Don't buy until updated

So the biggest issue here is that it is not compatible with ISO 10 my game crashes when try to progress on the harder levels. I do not recommend buying this game at this point since they have not done an update since 2015. If they do fix the issue then this is a great tower defense game it can be difficult but it's been a lot of fun playing it. Don't buy this game until its updated it would be a waste. At this point I can't say I'll be playing it again for a while because of how many times it's crashed on me since I started playing it again.

Best tower defense game I've ever played. Inspired me to build my own game.

It's good but

It's good but after the first "world" you have to pay to to get further
