The App has gotten better since the major re-write. But it has been over a year that Evernote removed the watch app which was extremely useful to me.

Why do companies do this? I’m a longtime and loyal Evernote user who praised them every chance I got. It is one of 3 essential iOS tools for me, the kind I cannot live without. But I am totally frustrated with the “updates” and am now being held hostage for more money than I already faithfully (and once happily) paid annually to receive the “benefits” of the new and much worse system. Evernote was lovely before. It was clean and so simple. Now it looks like garbage cluttered with coffee cup backgrounds, and the only way to return to simplicity is to pay them more money. You can forget it Evernote. Find a way to keep happy customers happy without changing the game on us. I have well over 3,000 entries in Evernote and now will be forced to migrate to something that functions something like Evernote once *did* beautifully for years. Very unhappy, but would like a response, because I truly hope someone cares enough to listen. Evernote is absolutely wonderful and powerful. But I am all but gone.

Syncing note updates from multiple devices cannot be relied on. Longtime, known bug results in multiple, different copies of updated notes. Fine app if it is only used on one device.

Thankfully I took a screen shot and didn’t lose important information. I have to type it again. I have been using Evernote for 7 years and it’s been around longer. Also loads very slow and is buggy. It is still an excellent service, but problems like this are more for the first decade of the century, and now it’s 2022. Time to do better. Five star service with one star problems, that’s why only three stars.

Evernote used to be a snappy, super convenient app. Over time it has become a bloated, cumbersome, and sluggish. The search functionality isn’t nearly up to snuff and always deliver subpar results. The custom keyboard is frustrating, time consuming, and flaky. Trying to add a note quickly is too many steps and takes some time to populate a new note after you’ve dialed the right button combination. It feels to me like the Evernote has fallen victim to scope creep, trying to pack the app to the gills with extra features to the point of ruining the user experience. So the notes app that used to be so mighty has now become a victim of its own success. Whenever I have enough motivation I’ll make the jump to a different notes app, but for now they’ve got me captive. Lastly, please stop bugging folks to go with your premium tier. There are too many alternatives to be pushing that stuff on people.

On Home Screen, “Notes” is “笔记”, but it shows “注释” in current version, which is not correct.

Search for a note? Crash Try to create a note? Crash Try to open a PDF attached to a note? Crash Try to take a picture to add to a note? It works! No, just kidding. Crash. I’ve been a paying customer since 2008. Why am I still paying for this mess?

I have used this app for more than ten years and love the concept. Since a revision going back a few years, my phone and computer end up with a inconsistent lack of synchronization. Repeated complaints have not resolved the problem. Really good app but not excellent due to the lack of dependable synchronization.

I used another app for years and never had any problems. I was told Evernote was great so decided to try it. I’ve had it for about a month with important addresses and information. Today I went to access my notes and it logged me out. When I logged back in it is asking me to create a brand new profile. All my information GONE!!!!
