“Back in the earliest days, there was no sun and the world was dark. The heavens opened up and stars fell like beacons into the pitch black world, and they were known as “Embers”. Powerful and wise druids of a primordial race, “the Lightbringers," roamed the orb searching for this luminous matter. They performed a ritual of awakening to call the “Embers” out of their deep sleep. Suddenly the world became bright, and the veil of darkness was lifted. The Embers were the embodiment of magical flame, light, and life, but as word spread about the sheer power of the Embers, they came to be hunted and captured…and so the War for Ember began…”
From the tome “Restoration of the Lightbringer”

Gameplay overview

A passion project 10 years in the making, Ember is a homage to classic role-playing games. Ember features a deep branching story, endless exploration across dynamic and living environments, a robust skill tree, and an intricate crafting system. In Ember, players are resurrected as a “Lightbringer” and summoned to protect the dying Embers as the world is on the brink of collapse. Beginning in the Deep Barrows, players traverse vast environments divided between aboveground and underground realms – ranging from lush forests to dry deserts and dark abysses – to reach the City of Light. The story unfolds through encounters with strangers, and players are forced to decide their destiny by making pivotal decisions.

Tapping “continue” causes the game to crash. Every time.

It doesn’t even show the bottom game menu bar on my iPhone X so it’s unplayable

Stumped at Haybales; Message easy to miss

the game seems to be very good. But I can’t get past haybales blocking the way to Darkwood. No implements, no hints, just a choice of quit or get 10 .10 vision. Gave it a second try. My first time I missed the message telling me simply to drag the bales to another place. It came mixed in with another message.

Please add an expansion

You guys nailed it. The perfect rpg engine on an iPhone. Please make more content, DLC or additional games. Just take my money Thanx

Average game

Nothing Special and a little boring. Control is not good and icon is too tiny.

A near perfect RPG that stands out in an iOS store full of trash
I own the pc version

First, let me preface this by saying I nearly gave up on looking for games on my iPad Pro (and mobile, for that matter) after being jaded by one trash game after the next. Finding Ember restored my faith that game makers on iOS can still make something awesome. The graphics look great on my device, and plays very well. I’m only into the second area of the game (of 20) and have gotten sucked into the gameplay and world. The world is vibrant with colorful characters and a creative soundtrack with plenty of atmosphere. I’ve taken the road less traveled and started on the hardest difficulty, which has presented the game in a way that I think it should be played. I’m happy to pay 9.99 for a mobile game that would be equally as good on my gaming rig. The price held me back at first- but only because I was so used to terrible iOS games, I figured this would be just as bad. I was wrong. No micro transactions, no timed drip content, no walled content until I pay more. Just a full game ready to go. I really hope they consider adding an expansion or two as there is lots of potential for further development as an IP. Hopefully the market responds in kind to games like this to give those of us with a reasonable attention span and a resistance to micro-transactions something to enjoy. While the game is great, I would like to point out to the devs that there is room for improvement. -It would be nice to have a point and run option, where you press and hold to move around rather than constant tapping. Maybe a gesture where two fingers on the screen activates it. -Option to move the pause button anywhere on the screen. -Option to dock the action bar vertically on left or right edge of screen for those of us on iPads where are hands are already holding it from the sides. -Put out a demo with all of the content just before walking into Radiance to try to get sales where I’m sure they could be. People like me are reluctant to spend 10 bucks after being burned by so many other terrible games.

I will really love if you guys could give a update to the game. It’s a amazing game. But IPhone X support will be great ———————————————————— iPhone X support

Lack on iPhone X screen support is sad

The iPhone X has been out almost a year now. The app still doesn't support the screen. For a premium app, that is ridiculous.

No iPhone X / Xs / Xs Max update?
Nicholas A Beaird

Great game. Originally played it on my iPad which was incredible. I have the Xs Max now and feel the screen is big enough to play anywhere but no current update =[ small game on a huge screen.
