Early Start Sight Words is designed for you to spend quality time with your child as they learn their sight words.
Guide your child through around 340 sight and high frequency words, giving them a strong foundation for reading. With multiple users and letter settings, younger children join in learning their letter sounds like their big brother or sister.
Main Features include:
1. around 340 sight and high frequency words (including the Dolch List)
2, special letter setting for younger children
3. unlimited players
4. progress tracking for each player
5. the ability to add your own words
6. two low contrast colour settings which may help in cases of dyslexia.
Remember one of the key factors in how successful your child is in learning to read, is the amount of time you spend guiding them, and reading to them.
We suggest dedicating at least 10 minutes a day to running through their sight words and they will learn them in no time.
Note: None of our games have in application purchases or embedded advertising.
Simply quiet app. No exciting sounds. Very much a sit with you child and talk the through the app. Not worth the .99.
This is in no way kid-friendly. If you simply want a list of high frequency word, which you can get free online, this may be for you. There is no sound so how is your child to interact with the app? This would not even be good if it were free. I did pay and would love my $.99 back.
This game is not at all kid friendly and there is no voice to say the word for them so basically you might as well get a piece of paper out and write it your self and sit down at a table with them! I needed something for my kids to be able to practice with out me and this app requires an adult to say each word with/for them. Refund please?!
