Combining modern mobile gameplay with the fun of the classic RPGs, Dragonstone: Kingdoms takes both genres to an exciting new level. The classic RPG gameplay makes this more than just another 4x game. In addition to city building, tower defense, and PVP alliance warfare, there’s a story mode where you can fight monsters and advance through levels to recruit new heroes, capture bosses, and gain additional resources.

With standout original artwork, a balance of attacking and defending mixed in with the fun of the classic RPG, and an entire world to explore, Dragonstone: Kingdoms is the best of both worlds combined.

After almost 6 months, and making it 124 days before one of “special buys” actually seemed worth it, I almost completely regret not giving up on the game months ago. On the plus side, my $5 didn’t entire go to Ember Entertainment, but back in January (around 80-90 days in) I considered quitting and I decided to hang around and enjoy what I could. While other realms may be “better” than where I was, the game definitely caters towards rewarding those willing to spend, and spend, and spend. While you can remain free to play, you are looking at upwards of 350,000 gems (earned at up to 100 per event every 6 hours) simply to purchase the items required for structural building upgrades, and a single “level 24 building upgrade” that is awarded once per ‘month’ based on sequential logins would also severely limit the ability for a free to play customer being able to max out their structures, if they managed to get the other required gems, first. If you don’t mind being borderline abused, or are looking to be [not so] micro transactioned, with $5-$100 (non-‘starter’) options available, for (hopefully?) months to come- it definitely could be the game for you. For me, I’d much rather would have not invested upwards of 800 hours for the relative lack of enjoyment I got out of it for “most” of my time I spent in the game.

I don’t get this game until they balance level diffs

The game is completely imbalanced towards high spenders. A handful of players with too much disposable income on server 2 constantly zero the majority of the server because they’re so much stronger. War parties were implemented to try to help lower players team up, but they take too long to form and attack allowing the target a number of options to get away instantly. also these options now cancel the war party, allowing the target to control when defending players troops are unbunkered at their bases and vulnerable to being annihilated in smaller groups. This turns the only real chance at leveling the playing field into nothing more than a huge risk to the lower level players that need help. As it currently stands one player can instantly attack anyone on the map indefinitely through teleports that have no timers on them. Any kind of castle moving items should have a timer on it so the huge spenders can instantly poured in and out at the first sign of danger and so that people have a chance to defend/retaliate. These items should also share a timer with bubbles, or at the very least ports and bubbles should both cause at least a half hour cool down preventing the other from being used so players can’t port in, instantly attack and bubble until they’re able to port out making the already completely outmatched cowards completely invincible. Handicaps should also be implemented based on players might levels that prevents players from attacking anyone who is less than 1/3 their might. Unless you spend more money than the highest spenders in this game you will have very little chances to grow or fighting someone your level without a big spender porting in and ganking you the second you return and are not yet bunkered.

Ember fails again
anonymous_43

The game has serious server issues, which Ember ignores fixing in favor of providing more updates that require players to spend more money. New players are offered packs at $5 that existing players spent $30 on. In retrospect, I wouldn’t give them a penny. Additionally, the game lags horribly and you lose troops and/or resources. They do not bother rising these issues. They allow some of their own developers to play the game too, and they run the game as cyber bullies. It takes all the fun out of the game.

Battle rules completely wrong
Amil Nitrate

When a player that has 3times the power of the largest 3 guilds combined can completely wipe out a player with less than 1/100th their power repeatedly. It is impossible to progress in the game. Adding castles or other features that rely on combat between David and Goliath only perpetuates the problem. In addition, giving the cyber bullies the power to make realm wide announcements using the new castles they control without any prayer of competition is ludicrous. So now even through I have reported and block those crude, vulgar and inappropriate players, I have to see them malign good people in scrolling banners and realm mail I cannot block or ignore. Thanks for nothing Ember. If I didn’t want to stay just to keep they cyber bullies for crowing over another player and guild they crushed, I would have already quit. Rest assured this will be the last Ember game I download or play.

Dragonstone bullies
hockeyfan2221

This game is run by ember and its employees. Yes they give out prizes but if you dare to to have any power you are hit over and over again . They bully you. The things that are said on realm chat are bad. If you ever told someone that in person you would be arrested. When you complain to ember they send you a form letter that is nothing to do with what you said . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME . I CANT WAIT UNTIL THERE IS A LAW SUIT AGAINST EMEBR . TERRIBLE GAME DO NOT PLAY OR WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Playing game 10 min ago game starts flashing then goes to a black screen ,, help please ,, been hours still can not play loads up a black screen says welcome then stays black

Definitely not for the 9+ as Advertised
Cyber Conscious

The vulgarity in the global chat and lack of monitoring by the Game Developers is borderline criminal. Not only do they ignore pleas to block, warn or clean up the Realm Chat, they seem to support the conflict. Be warned. The game completely caters to the spenders. No shock there, but no chance for a casual player either. NOT FOR CHILDREN.

Awesome
Dragonslayer356

This game is awesome, but you get a bunch of gems, and most of the time if it is short enough, it will be free, otherwise you have to speed up the time. Otherwise, yeah great game. Not the best I’ve ever played, but still Awesome. I encourage you to play this amazing game!

No defense, poor customer service
dlwinter4

The game has no limits on who can attack who in this game, so if you decide to play it be prepared to have players eight times larger than you wipe you out almost immediately. Ember does nothing to prevent this because these are usually the players that spend money in the game. All of the emphasis is put on attack, so even when getting attacked by someone nearly the same size as you, your entire town will be wiped out and take days to rebuild. You will rarely get a chance to do this with how easy it is for the large, money spending players to destroy you. Most of the discussion in these games goes well beyond competitive banter and instead is rude, vile and cruel. You can report these individuals but Ember does nothing about it. Their response is that you can block them, which basically renders the game silent. Overall I’m disappointed that Ember seems to keep a structure and service that supports only those that spend money on the game. Don’t bother playing unless you have a lot to spend.

Play the other Dragonstone
MunkyMastr

This game is pay to win, constantly wants you online to check in for micro rewards. Hounds you to spend a little money that leads to higher prices transactions. Play the other Dragonstone, Guilds and Heroes. It's a much better game that Ember should not have given up on developing.
