A Modern Interpretation of an Ancient Classic

Dots Out is an exceptional game that requires skill, strategy and quick thinking. The goal is to clear all of your opponent’s pieces from the board while leaving as many of your pieces in play. Pieces come in three different sizes and point values: Small (1 point), Medium (2 points) and Large (3 points). A game consists of two rounds with the start alternating between the two players. This effectively negates the first move advantage that's prevalent in so many board games. Gameplay is intuitive and smooth. On your turn, press any of your pieces to select it, rotate to aim, swipe back to set the velocity of your shot and release to fire. A 20 second shot clock keeps the game moving at a brisk pace. Most games can be completed in less than 5 minutes. In 2 Player pass and play mode, players are presented with a random level from the more than 150 levels. Facebook Mode provides a forum to challenge your friends in head-to-head matches. Dots Out really shines in Online mode. You are given an initial stake of points which you and your randomly selected opponent use to buy in to a winner takes all game. Games at higher levels require progressively higher bets to play. Online levels are closed to a player until he or she has won a game at the preceding level. There are also locked levels that can only be unlocked by spending points. The sole In-App Purchase, a 50,000 point chip, can be used for bets and to unlock levels. An issue involving experience points during the update to version 2.0.6 was quickly resolved by a very responsive App Support team.

As the title states, the laptop and pc version are superior as far as aiming goes. And being able to control your dots on the edge as well. Furthermore, the mobile version loves to disconnect from server in the middle of your game, thus losing chips bet and a heart.
