Not Really Private At All!

Don't let the shiny gloss of the application and the use of DuckDuckGo fool you, there's no true privacy here! I have not been able to confirm any use of an AdBlocker despite the increase of application file size... from what I can tell the app uses analytics, and or possibly advertising by the developers to further monetize the app at the expense of user privacy. Another unusual thing is the search bar is on the bottom of the page without a HTTPS lock icon to insure secure connections let alone enforce it. on a basic level third party cookies aren't even being blocked. Don't waste your $3 on this app like I did there are free options like Firefox Focus with (tracking blockers), the Endless Browser that emphasizes security and Apple's own Safari that do privacy and security better. I'd recommend using Safari with Firefox Focus content blockers but any of the others I mentioned are good. *Edit* additional notes: Something else to consider is Mobotap's lack of HTTPS on the Dolphin website and the use of many third party analytics/trackers, in addition there's no clear mobile privacy policy. So will this application keep your nosy relative/friend from seeing your search history? sure, but nothing more. Mobotap's claims to be "unmatched in overall privacy" is simply not true, The most privacy oriented browser is the Onion browser.

This is yet another piece of Security Software on the Apple Store. Welcome. Things to understand: Most apps are poorly developed get money schemes that have little or no support past a brief selling period. Your iphone is not secure, invincible or a reliable way to communicate privately, it never will be, despite its quality encryption and handy password lock (the number one, not the finger one). Further, installing PUPS (potentially unwanted progs) off the iShovel is a sure way to make this more evident. Tor is the only thing developing Tor. Go to their nonprofit website and read about their nonprofit projects. Any “developer “ SELLING Tor stuff on here should be treated with caution. Vpn apps should be treated as junk unless the developer is completely transparent about what it’s doing. The nature of VPNs and of smartphones makes them useless on a phone. There are two types if people in the world: those who have been hacked and those that don’t know they’ve been hacked.

Lost the open link in new tab ability (why?)

On an iPad, holding a link down in order to get an option to open it in a new tab is essential. This basic ability seemed to disappear with this app around iOS 12. I cannot find any way to reenable this on this browser. This inconvenience, in my mind, moves this app from 5 stars to 1 star until/unless they fix it.

Pretty good ,it needs updates more often !!!! I bought this app about 5 months ago and I haven't seen any updates yet, So you are telling me this app is securities that is belonging guys ?? I’ve been waiting more than a year to see any update on this app, this is the reason I give two stars guys!!!! Since I bought this app I haven’t seen any updates and it keeps crashing

Cool, so the free Dolphin browser I've been using has a debilitating textarea bug, but this version fixed it. But now there are no bookmarks available when you open a new tab without going thru an extra step each time, which I assume is some idiot UI designer's attempt to emphasize fake "privacy" at the expense of ease of use.

Good speedy browser. And I don't mind Duck Duck Go as the search engine. 5 stars for privacy and no ads.
