Excellent GTD App

MacMertz

This app is an excellent implementation of GTD. It's great for easily viewing tasks by project or context, which is critical for any GTD implementation. It makes nice use of IOS features like sliding across and up/down when displaying more detail. I also like how easy it is to create filters for other views. I also love all the interfaces. I was using ToodleDo but projects here are much better than subtasks there. Also it feels so much more fluid to use. Here are things to improve: 1. Need to be able to see all tasks without selecting a project or context. 2. Need to be able to search all tasks not just within a project or context. 3. The interfaces from iPhone to iPad to Mac to web need to be more standardized. I should be able to find the same buttons in the same place in each environment. 4. Please use correct English spelling. There is no apostrophe in tasks. 5. I like the Inbox, Today and Next views, but I'm not sure about Scheduled. A task should go on a calendar if it has to be done a specific day. Even something with a desired start or end date should be a next action. Perhaps add the ability to filter out things out that don't start until the future when viewing the next action list instead. 6. Please add more Boolean logic in the filters e.g. the ability to select AND or OR and also the ability to exclude using NOT. Keep up the good work! UPDATE The spelling corrections are a nice improvement. I sent the developer a suggestion to add Goals and allow Projects to be associated with Goals, and am impressed how quickly it was done. I would like to see Areas of Focus added as well, also with the ability to associate Projects with Areas of Focus.

best GTD app

After using many GTD apps, I finally choose this one. Still there are some functions requiring improvement. What about put the complete box at the end of a task, I always mistake that for check box.

Good GTD tool

Best GTD

Light Sleeper Household

Used in combination with the website. Been using both for several weeks and it's improved my workflow 100%. Great app!

DoIt- on track

I've been digging this App. Quite powerful GtD which took me at least some hands on time to get used to it. And I've been a bit more on track- possibly... Organized...well, maybe pushing it, but U could be.

Doit works well

I have been using this app for a few months now and find that it is very easy to use and works great. The project section is really well put together and has helped me define tasks within my projects.

Best GTD app I have found yet....

I have tried them all.... I guess you could say that I am obsessed at this point in trying to find the perfect team/GTD task and project manager and I have concluded that none of the apps are quite there yet, all lacking somewhere with something that quickly turns me off to them. Doit.im is the best one I have found. I have paid for a yearly subscription pro account, and the app and service in general functions flawlessly.... Sync across all of my devices and the app is put together very well. I love the implementation of today/tomorrow/scheduled as I often dump tasks into the tomorrow or scheduled category to remind me of them in a day or two (or more) when they appear in my today list automatically. The biggest problem I have with doit.im is the collaboration and team project management capabilities are lacking in a serious way.... When I create a project (perhaps with a description containing critical project info etc), create a task and assign it to someone else, the project information does not follow it. In fact, the receiving party can't even see what the associated project is. This is not yet a collaboration task manager, but it is very close... If the developers would address this issue and improve the collaboration features, this would be the perfect app for me. I will keep using it for now because it is still the best even considering his flaw... Tip: emailing a task to your inbox is quite handy, and I use it with Zapier.com so that each time i create a note in Evernote, a new task with all of the note info is automatically sent to my inbox as a new task. Also, there is a gmail app available for doit.im that adds a button to all of your emails to create a new task from the email, works beautifully.

GTD at its finest

Shadowdn

There are so many GTD apps out there, but this one is the most complete in how it uses all the components and features. The web app is great. Any GTD app without a web option is worthless to me, so this one passes the test on that front. Google calendar integration both directions. Smart filters. And a smooth, quick interface. Other apps have similar features, but this one is the best at executing them. Is this app perfect? No. But are any of the others? Not hardly. Some people spend forever trying to find the perfect GTD solution. Well it doesn't exist. But this one is pretty darn good. So your search is over. Now it's time to actually get things done!
