I like the results that my students get with this app. It would be a bit more user friendly if the space on the screen for each note were longer so that it could be used in real time with a piece rather than having to slow each note down to see a clear visual of the pitch accuracy. Still... It's very helpful and I am recommending it to colleagues.

Instructions please!

Mas358

It's fun. It kind of tells you where you are vocally...it could be really useful if there were instructions. I would like the ability to record a melody, seeing the graph, then see after i sing the same notes, see the graph of where I need to match pitch.

Expensive for an app with no instructions or tracking

Without options, instructions or tracking, this is a lot to pay for an app. Still, my daughter is enjoying it and the realization that singing is harder than it looks.

Not so great and not worth the money. This is a one function app and should be free

If you sing - you NEED this APP!!

USNA80 Bob

I sing barbershop, where pitch is paramount. This app gives you real time feedback, not only on hitting your note, but where you are within the range of the note! The only feature I'd like is the ability to lock the screen to a single octave, and have the sung note show. The current implementation spans octaves, and the screen moves to show the note - or you can lock it, but it's possible that the note you're singing is above or below the show range. Just show the note - I can figure out the octave!

Really great, but a listening issue

My chorus class is rolling out with iPads next week and after only using this app for 10 minutes, I already see myself using this it a lot. My goal is to have each of the students sing all of of the notes in a specific locked octave. Since it's recorded visually, I can have the students show me proof that they were able all to do it (especially the students who have trouble matching pitch). The only problem I've noticed so far is that notes below E3 are registering in the upper octave. It's only "hearing" the overtones in my voice. I was singing D3 and D4 back and forth and all of the notes registered as D4 only.

Great for pitch accuracy

My daughter is taking voice lessons. She has to mimic 3 to 5 note sequences. I use this app to ensure she mimics back on the right note. It has been very useful.

Very Helpful for a new vocalist Love the new version

JodyAndrews

I just joined a choir and I am a rank beginner. I have been using this app to see if I am in the right place and not "the alto on a wrong note". It has been very helpful for verifying that I am singing the right note. Thank you With the new version that defines the key, not only am I on the right note, but it is in the right key!

Great idea! Broken!

This app has so much potential, but the basic function (pitch identification) doesn’t always work. Play the in-app piano at “low A” the pitch identification might interpret “middle E”… so matching your voice is impossible. Such an expensive app should work properly and include more training features. Sadly, there haven’t been any updates to resolve these flaws.

One of the Best voice training apps

Aunk123

This is the first voice training app I got back in 2011. It has help me enormously. Most importantly the developers continue to improve the app and that is priceless. I just got the latest version and it is a great improvement. I don't give out five-star reviews but these folks and their creation deserve it. Recommend as buy and gift.
