Terrible terrible terrible

The app never lets you resume watching a show. It will restart the show and if you try to fast forward to where you left off watching last time your forced to watch a minimum 16 commercials. I shouldnt have to watch 8 commercials only to realize I still need to fast forward some more. It’s 2021 why can I not stop watching then come and resume where i left off later. Discovery should be embarrassed by this app.

Commercials are 1 thing, but this app takes it to a level beyond tolerable. Seriously. If you decide to stop watching, get ready for more commercials just to start watching again. And that’s IF it starts you where you left off! But that’s HIGHLY unlikely! 9 times out of 10, whether I’m watching on my TV or phone, it starts me much further back than I left off. And THEN, you have even more commercials to watch to get back to where you were. Take today for example… I had to stop my show to go take care of some errands. Commercials came on before I could stop it, so I waited until they were over before I stopped it so I hopefully wouldn’t have to watch them when I came back. NO SUCH LUCK. After sitting through the 7 ads before I stopped it, I had to sit through 8 more before the show started again. THE WORST STREAMING APP AVAILABLE!!
Almost good unless you need to rewind or move forward when watching.

App is decent if all is working well. I understand the need for commercials but why do you keep forcing them if you fast forward or rewind? This is also an issue if the app crashes. If you want to improve user experience only display commercials after a certain amount of watch time has elapsed and not whether a user fast forwards to a later time in a show. Take a look at how YouTube does it.

Can’t Watch Shows!

I normally love this app, but there is a recent bug that won’t let me watch any shows, stating I have to have a paid subscription to watch. I do have it through cable! Fix this please.

I get tired of signing in every week to watch shows. With all the information given; why does one have to repeatedly log in to the discovery app each week. Showtime is the only app worse.
