This app is touted as "hyperlocal" yet it's is the most inaccurate weather app in existence. I bought into the hype, paid and downloaded it. It has continually shown me the opposite weather conditions as are out my window. The apps "hyperlocal" accuracy is only relevant in the moment. Useless at predicting weather more than 30 seconds in the future.

So much better to be able to see projections by the hour for days in advance, unlike with iPhone weather app. Also, detailed wind info is very helpful

This used to be a great app. Now it doesn’t even try anymore. With a huge winter storm on its way, it doesn’t predict anything, except rain. It even says 5-8 inches of snow, but only shows rain. No mention of the hazardous and dangerous ice and snow headed our way.
Quality is *very* location dependent.

Where I used to live, Dark Sky was great. It did a great job of saying when it would rain (down to the minute, many times) and I recommended it to all my friends. In my current location, it stinks. As an example, we have a winter storm coming in 2 days with lots of snow. DS says it's going to rain (not snow), and its forecasted temperature never gets below 36. It also says we will get 3-6 inches of snow. This is just the most recent example of its precipitation forecasts being way off the mark and logically inconsistent. Quite frequently it will say “rain for the hour” when it doesn’t rain at all. In short: When it’s good, it’s quite good. But it’s not always good. If I had only used it here, I’d give it one star.

This WAS one of my most recommended apps. I had high hopes when Apple took over that it would end all other weather apps. What was I thinking? This app has conflicting information, unreliable forecast, and lack of up to minute notifications that made this app so famous! I used to be able to confidently plan my day and activities by this app. Now I’m not sure I would even download it for free. My suggestion to the developers is to go back to the beginning. Back to what made this app so appealing to its customers. Without them you wouldn’t even exist.
