This app use to be good but not anymore. It give inaccurate information and it seems like it waits for the weather to change before anything is updated. I would not recommend this app again to anyone anymore.

Several weeks ago I got an alert “rain starting soon” when there is not a cloud in the sky, or today “snow stopping” then it keeps snowing for several hours. What is going on?

I've been giving this a chance. Cause you know, who gets the weather right? But has been constantly off recently. I've been following this storm in the Northeast and again they projected less than 2" where everyone else predicted 6-8". Here we are being hammered. Very disappointing again.

For years I used the free weather apps/sites but kept hearing how great Dark Sky was so decided to pay a few bucks to give it a shot. I have been underwhelmed to say the least. Your weather forecasts are inaccurate, it’s that simple. I live in NY a market that is widely covered from a news and weather standpoint but since purchasing this app a few weeks ago I’ve found your info to be counter to other (free) sources and only catch up after the fact. Poor experience, wish I bought a pack of gum instead.
Precipitation Reporting and Predictions WAY off

Save your money. You can get more accurate weather condition readings and forecast for FREE elsewhere. Highly disappointing performance. After years of inaccurate forecasting by the default iPhone weather app, I downloaded Dark Sky after seeing it was an “editor’s choice.” While the UI is nice looking, from day one the recording was off and did not seem as detailed as the other apps. I got to test this out against a storm today, and the app showed light rain when it was snowing and sleeting outside. It was unable to accurately forecast precipitation conditions two hours ahead all day, and greatly under reported the storm for both New York City to central south shore Long Island. Even their satellite map showed precipitation clouds over both areas, but the read out stated otherwise. Very disappointed that the default iPhones app was more accurate.

Best weather app ever! Does everything you would expect and does it the best way possible. The $3.99 was totally worth it for an app like this. The only thing I would say is I would really like to see an app redesign.

Simply The Best Weather App in the App Store. Not much more to say besides I love the notifications feature. Sends me the weather forecast at my specified time every morning. Just a great app. Period.
