Terribly inaccurate weather data!!!

Dave B..

I purchased this app because of the hype that it is more reliable and accurate than other free weather apps. Couldn’t be more wrong. Sometimes it’s aligned with general weather reports, but several times it was WAY WAY off. It projected <1” of snow when everything else predicted 10” and we did in fact get that much snow. Overall... Nice interface but the data CANNOT be trusted.

Love it

No wonder you don’t get a lot

Use this app all the time to plan events. Very accurate and a must have for SW Florida. A wise investment .

Improvement needed on wind direction. Just a simple arrow does not depict whirling winds that can constantly change direction. I am a farmer and need a more reliable wind forecast for spraying.

Never accurate

This app used to be amazing but for the last year it has never accurate. Not worth the money

When it works it's great.

EdfromPA

When it works, it's elegant and accurate. It uses crowd-sourced iPhone barometer readings and user reports to help provide accurate information. Sometimes, it's just plain wrong. Today for instance in the NE US we're getting winter storm warnings calling for 10-14" of snow. Dark Sky shows 1-3" forecast for the same areas. The horizontal bar shows impending snow but the vertical has nothing but clouds.

AWSOME!! it has a map of the world. It also tells you the tempreture of the next day too. And the day after that and the day after that too. My mom loves it. That is why I rated it 5 stars. It is awesome. Thanks ,Henry Hoffman My mom has the app too.??? Oh, and when I'm old enough I'm going to buy it too. (My mom's name is Linda ). Once again Henry

Usually good

Terrible with the forecast for the nor’easter- I do t know what’s wrong.

I think the third nor’easter in March broke it

Used to be a great app...

JHLMA

I’ve been a user of this app for several years, and until recently, it was outstanding. Over the last month, the forecast accuracy has gone from exceptional to abysmal. Out of the three recent Nor’easters in the past month, with only one did it even predict snow. Every news outlet and weather app except Dark Sky predicted those storms. I’m ready to give up on what used to be a great app.

This app would have you walking with an umbrella on a perfectly sunny day

Despite the app looking really great and the temperature being accurate, the precipitation reports cannot be trusted. Too many times has this app given false information regarding expected times for rain and snow. Today was the last straw. I wanted to believe this app was trustworthy, but I just can’t depend on it any longer. Like most people, I tend to watch the progression of a storm throughout the week up until the day it arrives in my area. I’ve noticed the forecasts this app provides differ drastically from local TV reports. I realize no one can predict the future, but even on the day of: this app will show incorrect data. Have been a fan since forecast.io. Feels bad to have to write this review.
