Play Dave as never before with an amazing soundtrack, high-def graphics, vibrant sound effects, and a hilarious storyline brought to you by Dave's nemesis, Clyde! This is the natural evolution of Dave – loud, funny, and lots of attitude.
If you haven’t played this, you NEED to! It’s a really fun game!
In this game we have 2 variations of original Dave: “dos” and hd version. The main problem in “dos” is enemy’s-in original game they was programmed to shot in certain sequence, but in our version enemy’s “see” the player and shoot in him. The main problem in hd version-parallax background “jumping” when player move to the most right point in level. Because of those problems I didn’t want to buy this game. If you fix those problems, I be very happy. But, again, the main idea in original game-to accept the challenge and beat this game without saves, I’d like to have the opportunity to off this option if I buy this game.
I LOVE that I can play this game again as an app! It's in a folder with my other beloved childhood games (jezzball and caveman) and the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that running into the enemy on level 4 no longer kills it! Otherwise, perfect remake.
There is a glitch on level 8 so it’s not worth to try because you can’t get passed level 8 . Level 8 is missing a jetpack in the beginning, I found out from YouTube video after struggling.
I am enjoyed playing this game. It's a lot of fun. The controls are a little weird, but that's more me than the game. This is actually my first review that's how much I liked this game!
From one of the developers of Quake, DOOM, and Wolfenstein, comes a great remake/remaster of an 89' Romero classic! Plays amazingly well in either retro or hi def versions. The game is extremely challenging, as the classic itself was, so Romero stayed true to the original design and difficulty. Amazing level designs and gameplay. A must have for any fan of retro "platformers" and Romero fans alike!
Fun game, just like it used to be. A few levels dont work on 8-bit version for me. Lvl 7 and 8. They work fine on HD version, but not 8 bit. Not a fan of the HD, so once 8-bit is fixed, it'll be 5 stars!
A brilliantly executed platformer that doesn't hold back on its challenges. You think you can handle it? I thought so too, but after 5 sessions with my therapist - I've come to terms that the slimy Clyde is still the better man. For now. I can't give up. Great HD art, music and level design. Don't be a fool and let Clyde run rampant - pick this game up!
I really enjoy this game. It has a lot of memories from playing the original DOS game(s) and the upgraded graphics are a nice addition. I sure would like to see the additional entries into the series remade. This is also from the legendary creator of DOOM, which is a game I also played on my 1995 Packard Bell computer. Dangerous Dave is a great game for anyone. The buttons are sometimes covering up Dave on my iPhone 6, but if you move them down a bit then it isn't as noticeable.
