The calm before the storm is over...
This game is cool. You stand in the middle of the road and swipe away flying objects hurling toward you from a distant hurricane. Cars, barrels, refrigerators and more come whipping toward you in the wind. Bigger objects take multiple swipes. Frame rate is smooth and graphics are HD. I was actually expecting this game to be accelerometer-based where you move out of the way to avoid the objects, which I still think would be a nice alternative way to play, but the swipe controls work well and are easier than moving around the iPad. . There are a few thing I'd like to see added to the game to make it better: 1) We should be able to turn off the music but keep the sound effects on, the howling wind is cool without the music. 2) More locations to play. Currently there is only one, more would go a long way to extending the gameplay. 3) A larger selection of objects flying toward you (including people and animals) would also be nice.
Challenging little game that's a lot of fun. I haven't gotten very far yet but I'm looking forward to playing more.
At least it was free. The physics and graphics are fine but the gameplay quickly becomes boring.
It's a cool use of the unreal engine and the game is really simple to understand and play. It just doesn't have a lot to hold you interest long term.
