CUJO, Apple Time Capsule and Cisco Router

Dystopian2017

What would have been a very simple setup turned out to be very stressful to resolve due to Charter Cisco router dropping my internet connection regularly during our attempt to get my CUJO up and working. Brandon (Hopefully I spelled his name correctly) from CUJO tech support was very patient and helpful throughout the process and after resolving the issue he helped identify the items connected to my network. I'm very happy with the CUJO.

Great Customer Service

Imagine your having an issue with your network and someone calls you, before you call them. That is what happened to me. Their customer service is awesome (thanks Iggy). The product seems really solid so far and the app is very simple to use.

Cujo

I guess its working. No way to tell. It did warn me about my own website and that's the only warning I've gotten so far. Does alert me when new equipment comes online.

Great job

You know when a product is good when it goes wrong. I had an issue and the guys at Cujo were awesome in helping me to fix it. Thanks guys!

Great product! Great customer service!

Take it from a cybersecurity guy, this type of protection is usually only available to Enterprise at a steep price. Very happy with the product so far!!

Animations?

JPP266

Instead of animations on the threat screen, how about some WHOIS details on the IP address of a threat so one can make a somewhat informed decision whether to unblock without leaving the app. Latest CUJO firmware (3003) is great and seems to have addressed some remote camera blocking. Access seems faster too. Was very to see these improvements. There is great potential for this app but think the focus should be on functionality right now, not bling.

Works great w/ AT&T Fiber + Airport Extreme

MKayReagan

I've been using Cujo now for awhile and it has performed great. We have a smart home and that means 30+ connected devices. So the extra security is really important. Recently we switched from a cable modem to AT&T Fiber. I had to change my Cujo setup to accomodate the new modem and my existing Airport Extreme and wasn't able to get it right. So I called Cujo tech support and they spent the time to walk me through it and explain what we were doing. I have contacted them a few times with questions and they're always there to answer and then follow up. I highly recommend you buy the device and use the app, especially if you have a smart home.

Getting More User Friendly

JimScott

After 8 months of use, CUJO still hasn't quite emerged from what looks and feels like a beta state. I've been through three separate hardware configurations, and after buying different modem/router and wireless access hardware, CUJO finally seems to be working in bridge mode. CUJO's tech help is pretty good, but the app that controls CUJO is less than intuitive. There is no app for iPads, but I found it possible to download the iPhone app and import it onto my iPad via iTunes. Despite all kinds of assurances that CUJO is keeping me safe from bad guys, in a kind of simplistic "CUJO knows best" approach, I still would like to know exactly what CUJO really is doing. That's especially important as CUJO is a subscription service.

Unblock items

RDA1990

It would be nice if you could actually I'm like items that were not a threat to your network we can't even use the Arlo cameras with this thing I'm going to keep it until they decide to add a feature where I can actually wait list my own items are waitlisted to do whatever it wants without shutting off the security for the device!

Paranoid? You should be.

AaronD12

I purchased my Cujo with the inkling there was something weird on my home network. Trying to isolate what it is proved quite difficult. The Cujo detected all the Internet-connected devices on my network, but sure enough there is one I didn't recognize! Cujo allowed me to disconnect the device from the network while I find out what it is... and where it is! Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you... ?
