Brother-in-law bought us a cortana speaker a year and a half ago and set it up with his own microsoft account for whatever reason. I had previously downloaded this app (over a year ago) and tried to log in with my existing microsoft account. It did not let me log in, I tried everything, but ended up deleting the app. I just redownloaded to give it another shot only to find the microsoft account I had previously tried to use was already signed in once the app installed. However, I have been trying to switch to a different microsoft account, and the app will not let me. I have closed and reopened the app several times. Sometimes it will prompt me to “sign in,” but when I press the button, nothing happens at all. Other times when I reopen the app, it recognizes me as already signed in with my old microsoft account. When I then go to sign myself out, the same thing happens. I click sign out and nothing happens. Every now and then when I click sign out, it will bump me back a page, but it won’t sign me out. Terrible app.

Used to be a good friendly design for user. After the last “update” now there is a total disaster. If you want to open keypad you always touching the thumbs. There all the time some silly suggestions.

Up until a few years back, Cortana was by and far the most intelligent Voice Assistant out there. Pity it could not take off. After all these years, Alexa and Siri are way more popular but do not compare in intelligence. Sure, Alexa is an amazing assistant to integrate and automate stuff. But ask a question, and it falls short. Cortana can do so much beyond just setting up your meetings, reading email, integrating with SOME smart home vendors. It can look up the web for you. The voice recognition is amazingly accurate. It's backed by Bing, which means it has a wealth of knowledge. Cortana is a very good alternative to Google Assistant. If only Microsoft was more aggressive and imaginative about how a Voice Assistant could be made available to everyone on the planet. Just look at how Amazon was able to make Alexa so popular in spite of not having a phone of their own.

Thanks for Cortana, She’s an amazing Assistant. She’d help me most of times! I’m glad you created her. So I have a iPhone but Siri? Well, She can’t do much things. I don’t know why. That’s all I have to say! P.S Thanks for making Cortana

So I tryed out the app I said to Cortana how do you know my name she said this I call you the name in your settings to change your name just say to me change my name then I said change my name she responded here are some videos for you even though I said it the right way I hope you make Cortana much much smarter because I can not even chat with her

I keep saying portland maine sunrise and Cortana assumes portland oregon. I do like that you can send feedback through the app.
Update 3.3.3 can’t even do reminders.

Buggy update, not updated since last year, can’t get notifications for my set reminders. Is Cortana dead?
Good start for sure.

Love the ability to listen to my emails. Love the ability to join my next meeting as well. Voice recognition could use some improvements, but very useful.
