I wish I could pay for a version that didn’t have ads. Those are the only downside to the game.

It’s Fun during the games

Hi! The games are fun. I have the sound muted except that in between games, the sound isn’t muted. Every time an ad comes on that ad’s sound starts blaring. No fun to play with the app so broken like this. Please help Devs: the sound mute feature is broken!!

CodyCross

I just love CodyCross I’m in my sixties and it keeps my mind sharp and I just love a challenge! I think it should be another version. Keep up the good work!

Love the game

jandhitch

I love the game but I am not interested in doing the crossword or books. It would be nice to have an option to select to not play them. Something to think about. I have been playing it for a long time. Jamie H.

Please

Absolutely love this game but PLEASE make it an option to buy it as ad free!!!! An ad after every round is super annoying! Almost makes me want to delete it.

The word game I play the most

Fransis lawnicher

The variety in difficulty is fun, and the fact that the developers continue to expand the game with new ideas. If only they could learn to spell Jack Kerouac and that “ocular jewelry” isn’t earrings (“ocular” refers to the eyes, not a place for jewelry) I’d give it five stars.

20 tokens????

gobacktobed

“Invite your friends” For each friend that joins the game through the link you get 20 tokens! That's a lie, I added my brother through a link I watched him download and play I didn't get 20 tokens.

Fun, but

Enjoyable, challenging and fun, but I despise constant ads. There only seems to be one option for purchase, which is $9.99 a month. There are a number of equally fun games that are a one-time payment.

Short Review

Great, hard game with lots of good vocabulary and minimal ads Definitely geared towards older adults with the longer words and older pop culture references. Would not recommend for kids who are too young to search these references. Biggest irk playing this game is the changing of word tense. The questions are always in singular present tense so the endings should match. It’s harder to guess a word when it randomly changes to past tense (ed) or plural (s or es).

A great way to pass time.

I very much enjoy this game. I do a full set of five every night. It stays fairly challenging (usually), and has a good balance of common and esoteric knowledge. Easy to play free. Ads aren’t too bad, rewards are great for just playing a bit and keeping a streak. Even the cost of playing without ads isn’t prohibitive. In terms of problems, the only thing keeping it from five stars is the unpredictability of what letters will fill in what. If I know four of five answers, it isn’t fun to have all of those basically fill in, but to have no letters to help in another word. Also… so many questions about fish and marine life, guys (especially sea slugs for some reason). Again, I appreciate esoterica, but i feel like there is a fish clue in every other puzzle.
