This is the official app for linking your smartphone with CITIZEN Bluetooth watches (Bluetooth® version 4.0 or later). The app, which works with iPhone, enables you to set the time and the alarm for your watch, and to receive alerts for incoming calls, mails and texts. With CITIZEN Bluetooth Watch, you get to enjoy a handsome-looking analogue watch that tells the accurate time wherever you are plus the great convenience of a smartphone link.

CITIZEN Bluetooth features CITIZEN’s proprietary light-powered technology Eco-Drive. Eco-Drive eliminates the need to replace batteries or recharge via cable.

Features

1. Time Sync
Get the right time, all the time. When you connect with your smartphone, the time on your watch automatically updates to the current time (home time).

2. Local Time
Get the time in any city around the world. Just touch the world map inside the app to set your watch to the time there (local time).

3. Call Notification
Find out when you get a call. The watch emits a sound, vibrates or rotates the hands to let you know when you get a call. A filter function enables you to specify which callers will trigger alerts.

4. Message Notification
Find out when you get a mail, text or SNS notification. The watch emits a sound, vibrates or rotates the hands to let you know when a new e-mail or SNS notification has arrived. You can select the apps for which you wish to receive alerts.

5. Alarm
Set your alarm from your smartphone. Set your watch alarm using the smartphone app. The alarm can be set for different times for different days of the week.

6. Light Level Indicator
See how much light—and power—your dial is getting. Find out how much power your watch is generating by tracking the light it’s exposed to on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. This unique function reflects CITIZEN’s status as a pioneer of light-powered technology.

7. Smartphone Search
Find your smartphone easily. Mislaid your smartphone? Not a problem. Use your watch to locate your phone by getting it to emit a sound to indicate its whereabouts. (Range limitations apply.)

8. Link Loss Alert
Get alerted when you’ve forgotten your smartphone somewhere. The watch emits a sound, vibrates or rotates the hands to let you know when the link between your smartphone and your watch is broken.

This app requires iOS 9.3 or later.
Optimized for iPhone 5 or greater.

Not happy at all 1974

Very nice looking watch but will constantly drop connection. Not recommended at all!

Functional but Pointless.

I’ve had this watch for 2 months now and find it’s use with an iPhone very lackluster. You can set the watch to vibrate for certain alerts on your phone like text messages, Facebook messenger, Snapchat etc. The watch will also vibrate for a phone call. You still have to look at your phone AND acknowledge the notification on the watch. This basically just adds another step in the users process. The Bluetooth doesn’t always connect easily and requires a phone reset. As a watch I love it. The face is easy to read and it can be synced to my phone for time. As an interface for notifications I find it gimmicky at best.

Update or fix
6-PAK58

I like the watch but why make a watch that is totally dependent on an app. Especially if the app doesn’t work properly, which makes the watch completely useless. Please fix it soon.

Please fix

Connection is too weak, 4,5 feet away the link is lost. Why would there be an imposed max length of connection? Can user specify start and end of the connection time of the day and take consequences?

Disappointed

The watch looks very nice but the app is garbage sometimes It links sometimes it may not

Worthless app
medicman67

Watch constantly disconnects from the phone even with the phone next to the watch. With the update It won't even connect to the watch.

App does what it is supposed to do.

W770 Citizen Proximity Watch

This looks to be a significant improvement over the W760 movement. All features in the new app appear to work as designed and the new W770 watch performs as advertised. Since I only just received this new watch the question that remains is how friendly the app is with my iPhone battery life. Bluetooth operation requires the app to be running constantly.

90% Great!

It works well considering the technology! I love analog watches and the W770 is pretty much best of (Smart Watch/Analog) both worlds! I wish there was a few more things added in settings such as times of day/days of week Hour Beep, different tone codes such as Continuous Wave (Morse code) singnals, changing the vibrations pattern for different Notifications, etc. Time will tell but for now, I just hope the developers read my review and pick up on some of the things I know many of us out here would like from our very expensive purchase. Definitely not disappointed but there is so much potential not being added, currently.

Needs improvement

The concept of being alerted when a call or message ext... comes in on your elegant watch is grate. One big gripe that I have is that it does not stay connected all day. The phone well eventually ring and you get no buzz, that's when you realize that you've been disconnected. The buzz is faint and you only get one buzz even on incoming calls. Suggestion -Consistent buzz for calls ( until you answer) we'll be nice. 2 or 3 for everything else.
