Camp Insight

The child and parent play the game together and are hosted on this virtual island by a savvy parrot named Pepi. Cathy Counselor is an “insightful” adventure guide at the camp who teaches “emotional intelligence” or EQ - like recognizing emotions in facial expressions, understanding “mixed” and “masked” emotions, and learning to appropriately express emotions - especially angry feelings.

The Player advances through six chapters, each in a different part of the camp, and earns points and tokens in a personalized treasure chest. A game board with a moving turtle piece keeps track of the Player’s progress. The game presents social scenarios, and the Player responds by selecting multiple choice answers or by typing or saying answers through Siri (voice to text). Pepi and Cathy Counselor award the Player a Caring Camper Badge at the end of this exciting and educational adventure!

The app promotes bonding as the child and parent discuss important social topics.

Up to four players can use the app with individualized scoring.
