The ability to categorize, or group items together based on shared characteristics, is a very important cognitive and linguistic skill. It allows individuals to learn and access new vocabulary, increase expressive and receptive language, and assist with cognitive mapping. Bubble-Pop! is an app developed by an SLP and engineer, and it helps children learn the skill of categorization by searching for assigned categories of objects, and popping them to collect the objects. Kept my 3 year old entertained all of one minute. That is how long for her to figure out the game repeated itself ad nauseum
