Great idea, but subscribing is too expensive

I love the concept of this app, especially because unlike others I’ve tried it doesn’t require that I know other active users to function right. However, with reminders and tags behind a paywall, there’s not a good enough reason to use it over apps bundled with my phone that do that for free.

Hey devs

Couple things love your app and am excited to use it even though I'm forced to be blonde - when selecting a character color swap it shuffled the grid around and I was able to select my final forme at Lv 1 (only happened one time though) - adding a "customize" prompt to character selection would be a great way to store the various permutations of skin/hair/eye/outfit palette swaps (with indexed color parts it's very simple to generate many options) - I would love to be able to select a class and progress my avatar through that class (would help declutter your grid too) - if you all would like help with your pixel assets hmu I've worked with pixels before and design D&D characters all the time ? @a.m.artist

Web interface desired

So far as new user an interesting concept. I find the use purely on phone annoying to type in all the todos and would appreciate a web interface similar to other task manager apps out there (Todoist, Trello...)

Wanted to love it

This is such a great idea and I am so close to being able to use it. My brain works best breaking things down as main task then sub tasks which this allows BUT you don’t get any credit for completing a subtask. So it takes far too long for me to earn any rewards which kinda defeats the purpose of making a to do list into a game. If that was fixed I would love it. I would almost actually prefer the opposite, no credit for the main but credit for the subs.

Nice

Should add events or just more in general

Sad it doesn’t work past lvl 25

I loved this app until I reached level 26 the first time. I was super bummed that I had to uninstall, reinstall and start my progress all over. I eventually got over it but... this morning I committed the sin of reaching level 26 again. Now the app is glitchy and the screen keeps changing from level 1 to level 25 and I’m not getting any experience for my completed tasks. WHY WON’T YOU LET ME LEVEL PAST 25 ?!?!?! Whatever the crying emoji is.

Awesome! Some suggestions though:

I would love to see the equipment reflected on the character when I unlock and equip new items. It would make me feel more accomplished when I see my avatar sporting the new shield I just earned, or whatever. That's my only gripe. Other than hat, this is awesome, and just what I wanted!

A great idea that motivates!

I’ve always seen the world in as a type of rpg. Every request is simply another quest to be completed. The issue with real life is that there isn’t a reward system for many of those quests. A small thank you for some maybe, but the smaller tasks that many would see as mundane is simply there as an obstacle that’s a nuisance. That’s where this app comes in. During my time using this app, about a few months now, I’ve found this small system has made me more motivated to do EVERYTHING. From reminding me to take out trash to writing a rough draft to finishing a major project, this app has motivated me more than any phrase has. I could easily give this app five stars if it wasn’t for a few minor things that kinda mess with the immersion. First, there seems to be a glitch where the health or experience bars will slide spastically. It isn’t too bad of an issue, but it seems to have spread to the organization feature to nave task order. There are times when I will hold a task to move up and the screen will freak out until I let go. Another quality of life issue, but not too bad for the system. The next bug is a bit “game breaking” on the other hand. I found that the exp bar would lock to just before leveling up, allowing a level up every time a task is complete. It kinda undermines the achievement value being able to level every time. In the end, this app is an amazing motivator even if there are some quality of life changes that can be done. I would highly recommend this app to any gamer/nerd who wants to take their real lives to the next level ;3

Good concept, great if expanded

As a to do list, it works. You set macro tasks, break them down with sub items, and check as you go. Standard but functional. You can set daily, weekly, or monthly tasks, but the system is vague on how those tasks are set to repeat, if they're set to repeat at all. The sprites are well done, but limited, with little customizability. Character animation doesn’t occur until high tier levels. Monsters are animated, but the battles you have with them are implied, and you see no interaction between your character and the monster they encounter. The rpg element doesn’t create quite as fulfilling experience as I’d like. I attribute this to the lack of consequences of action or inaction. In the game, you encounter random monsters. You either kill them by doing your to do list, or you don’t, and so far as I can tell, it doesn’t matter either way. Equipment is randomly found and it comes with power ratings, but they don’t affect your avatars already limited appearance, and I can’t tell if they do anything to let you kill the monsters faster. Not that killing the monsters matters either way. How to improve the app: make characters customizable in appearance, and maybe even add a “class” the user can select like barbarian or sorcerer and have that affect appearance, equipment options, etc. Animate the battles with attacks and monster interactivity triggered by to do list item completion. Make the monster damage your character as a result of task stagnation. What I wanted: turn my minds in tasks into a vibrant video game. What I got: a to do list with sprite characters to look at.

Fun way to stay on task!

I’m really pleased with this simple to understand, fun task manager. I tried another similar app and this one was easily the best. Two thumbs up ????
