'Blanks' is a simple application helping you to learn new

English words. It shows you word definition and gives 4 choices as answer.
Select one of the choices by dragging it on the hole in the paper.
If you are correct, a green hock is displayed.
If the selected word does not fit to the definition, you will see a red cross.

The word definitions are from Wordnet. The application developer is not associated in any way with Wordnet.

Sure there are better applications, but it's still pretty good for a free app. Needs some updating - I used it while waiting for an oil change and words began to repeat long before my car was ready. Also, existing words need better definitions. Pregnancy is defined as the state of being pregnant. Redundant.

It would have been nice if the hole was at the bottom of the page. I m feeling very lazy to pull the word from the bottom of the page to the top. I think most of the users might be feeling same. Also, it wouldbe more beneficial to provide the usage of the word in a sample sentence.

It's not really a game unless it has some challenge. How about having round durations like 1min - 5min. And have a score board. That way people can always aspire to do better. This game gets old without something to gauge progress against. It's an neat idea though.

I like this very much but also agree with other users - it needs a scoring mechanism. And when I get one wrong I'd love to know the defnition of the word I messed up. Also, I don't think there are many words because I had a couple duplicates just in the first few minutes of using it. But I do enjoy it.

Awesome if you like to learn new words are test your knowledge. It's in the education section so don't really expect a game, more of a training aid for all u dummies out there.

Not a bad idea but too easy for us wordy folk. Also want to see how others do and agree for the couple harder words I saw would love to see them in use. Option of a timed game is cool too. Just too easy for me so I may bore of it soon and I got it yesterday. Still a good idea and if I was not a word hound I would enjoy it more... That is why I an rating it a 3.
