The bad accent was tolerable with the first free book since I knew the story and the illustrations were great. So when I purchased a second book it was horrible. The story read as if the author started on a point and then forgot and just ended the story right there. At the end of the story my kids just gave me a blank look. I would have rather spent more for some of the better books in the store had I known.
I was so excited to get this so I didn't have to read the same books over and over from home. I was even more excited when I found out that it was free. WRONG! only one story is free the rest cost 99 cents. I know thats not much to pay for a story but after reading the free story there was no way I was gonna pay for any other books. They miss pronounce words and they are not very long either. Don't waste you time with this app.
In order to read any of these book you must first buy each one....looks good but it's not free.
Nice concept, a book shelf for bedtime stories, but needs a couple features. A way to purchase more compatible stories to add to the shelf from the program itself, a way to bookmark and goto parts of the stories, and a way to get back to the main menu if you chose the wrong story.
I bought this and my kid covers her ears from the screaming female voice. Seriously, who hired this girl? These are bedtime stories, they should be told with a fine storyteller's voice, not some annoying woman who doesn't understand inflection. Also, could use some interactivity for the kids.
My three year old loves this app!!! That makes it a good investment by my book.
The female voice sounds like a sorority intern that they could use for free. Very screechy and annoying with one volume setting, loud... Otherwise my kids love the stories and the artwork.
It's a cute app, with many stories to choose from with awesome artwork.
