Used the 2015 version and made some of my fave beats I so wish I could access them ?????
Great app but a bit glitchy
....FFS.....
It is very easy to make a song out of Beatwave it gives you free starter packs which can give you a headstart in your music but every time I would play a music and record it it would glitch and when it’s halfway played it would replay it and keep replaying it I don’t know why it keeps doing that so I made another one just copied the one from my old one and it still did the same I tried to make a different piece it still did the same. It’s really hard to record a perfect song because at every 50’s of playing the song this glitch would happen continuously I even tried to play the music til it glitches then pressed record it still did the same at 50’s.
Crashes and doesn’t save progress

Would be the best free beat making app out there, except it crashes way too much and every time you restart the app/exit for a while, you lose all of your progress. Also, I can’t close certain ads, which causes me to restart the app altogether. It’s very frustrating having to start all over again because of this. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I’m assuming the app hasn’t been modified for notched corners?? Sometimes I can see the “x” in the corner of an ad but it won’t let me press it, thus having to restart the app.

Ads literally pop up and you can’t close them. One ad had the X in the top left where it couldn’t be pressed. Second ad didn’t see an X. Any developer that adds this type of junk to their app is a no go in my book. Despite enjoying some of the features of the app and being interested in potentially paying if I’d keep using the app, I will look elsewhere, much to my disappointment.

I’ve used Beatwave for years and finally upgraded to the premium and love it MOSTLY but the new (and frequent) glitches when trying to record or when loading a scene with multiple instruments are rough. The timing will glitch and restart the scene or it will straight crash. It’s frustrating and it means I definitely don’t use it for anything live, but I trust they will fix this and make it the super reliable and super fun DAW it has been before. Update: still crashes more than any app I’ve ever owned and takes way too long to load things. I just know that the developers can make it fun to use again if they tried. Please debug this app, it’s nearly unusable at this point
An app that’s updates, ruined it

As an old huge fan of beat wave. I remember when it first was on the old iPod touches and it was simple. However it progressed over the years and recently it had easy controls and had amazing sounds if you bought it for 8.99 or so. My hubby and I made three awesome albums together we made for iTunes which thankfully I still enjoy to this day. And each album I learned more features about the app by making hole notes that play longer than just single taps. And it was beautiful, absolutely beautiful, until the app updated. And it was TRASH! They removed all my favorite instruments I had saved and changed the layout of making music. And it was so frustrating that I stopped making music. And now the greedy developers won’t let you buy Beatwave pro you have to pay 50$ for a yearly subscription. Garbage absolute garbage. Unless your willing to invest the money for Beatwave and learn how to use it. But coming from an old fan of Beatwave who watched it grow and get progressively worse over the years. Do yourself a favor and buy a free music maker... Beatwave just makes me sad now, it used to be my favorite app of all time. Now it’s trash..... ???

I bought the pro version a while ago and now they’re asking me to buy it again and are now running ads in the app. Avoid this rip-off app.
