BONUS INFO
The most famous bagpipe is the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe, but there are many kinds of it from many countries, like the French Musette de cour, the Italians zampogna, piva, müsa and baghèt, the Spanish gaita, …
It is essentially made by the reeds (drones) that play a base bass sound, a bag that the player inflates by blowing air into it (and which is the "lung" of the instrument) and by a "Chanter" upon which the player creates the melody.

To play:
1. gently blow into the microphone, the drones will start playing the typical background sound of the bagpipe;
2. touch one hole at a time to hear the notes;
3. keep an eye the air indicator, when the air is about to finish you will need to blow into the microphone again or the bagpipe will stop playing!
4. to stop the sound simply press the STOP button.
This is an amazing free application that sounds very authentic. The tutorial is very easy to follow. Please add more songs including The Gael (Last of the Mohicans).
Easy to get used to the location of the notes, even gets gracenotes if played right, just the blowing needs to get extended a tad bit. Great app, I've thought about the concept of a plug in chanter with an app, doubt it's impossible nowadays.
I'm a musician who has never played the bagpipes but has always relished the thought to do so. Well, if I never get any closer than this app, I will be satisfied. Love it and it's free.
I was very happy to find this app. I'm half scottish (my other half is swedish) so it is wonderful that I can have this. I also bought some irish uilleann pipes. A great simulation
Terrible terrible app. I play the bagpipes and the notes are not even right for amazing grace or Scotland the brave. This disgraces bagpipes. I can understand the holes are in the wrong spots but learn to program the music right. I wish I could give it no stars.
This app is crap. Buy a chanter and get an instructor. This will do you no good. A complete waste of time
This app is a whole lot of fun to play around with on a boring day, even if the key is all wrong for all of the songs I know! As to what has already been said about this app: you are comparing a small touch-screen programme to a $200 instrument!! Of course it isn't going to amount to anything close to the real thing! Personally my only complaint is that it is very hard to change notes without causing a 'skipping' sound... But besides that I am 100% content!
