Same opinions as the reviewer above. This was a first-page app on my phone since I discovered it a couple years ago. But you guys totally borked the UI and UX. Just please roll everything back to the way it was. As it stands I’m looking for a new client since this is borderline unusable. Update: Nov. 22 The developer thankfully listened to our concerns and made it much more user friendly. It’s still wonky in places but it’s much more usable. I really appreciate the feedback.

Developer has addressed issues that had cropped up, but I’ve moved on to a different app already.

The latest update crashes constantly - loading images, reading comments, you name it. I’m restarting every fifteen minutes or so now. If this isn’t fixed soon, I’ll be moving on to a different app. Edit: Developers are very responsive getting things back on track. Good work, guys. Seems much better now.

Commenting is now a total pain, same with up or down voting. Why did you remove the swipe feature? You changed it for the worse.

Its official I'm switching to BaconReader! After support for Alien Blue had stopped the app started feeling its age then I try this app many years later (late 2017) and by far this is the best Reddit app. I have zero complaints as this is how Alien Blue should have been. Believe me I tried all the so called Reddit apps none hold a candle to this one. Nice job devs!

Basically as the title says. I’m here because BaconReader bugged me to rate it, but honestly I’ve now downloaded the free version of this app over the life of 3 phones and 2 tablets so maybe a review is the least I can do... I’ve tried (and really wanted to like) the reddit sponsored app along with various other reddit 3rd party apps but always felt myself liking the baconreader layout best. I’ve run into maybe 3 or 4 instances where the software was buggy but was always patched pretty quickly. The devs post on r/baconreader and actually respond if you tell them about a bug.

When you save a draft with pictures attached to it, it doesn’t end up saving the pictures.

There are legit popup ads when just scrolling through subreddits. Also popup video ads.

Has video/audio ads that auto play, extremely annoying as they pop up randomly as you scroll.

The app is more or less stable and works for what it is but its missing several basic features such as the ability to browse to a user profile. It also automatically plays ads with audio while you're scrolling through.
