Was great until three days ago

I’ve had BaconReader installed on my phone for years because the iPhone reddit app is hot trash. There were some banner ads but nothing obtrusive. Now, since the update on 5/24/19, these stupid final fantasy ads keep popping up. They’re only for a few seconds, but this is a distinct change from how it was. The app is seriously great otherwise. This poor review is really to let the devs know that I’m not happy with the update to ads.

I’ve used this app for over a year now. In recent updates, there used to just be small banner ads at the bottom of the screen, but that was no big deal. Now, the ads pop up full screen and you have to wait 15 seconds to skip them. Real reddit can run without full screen ads, so why can’t this too?

Bacon reader was a great app, but ever since this last update I’ve been getting full page ads with no option to turn off sound. These ads are invasive and totally unacceptable. Guess it’s time to switch to a new app. I left you a bonus star for the app you used to be. RIP Bacon.

I have used baconreader exclusively for a few years. The new update put full screen ads every few posts that you can’t click out of for 5-8 seconds. Ok. So I downloaded Apollo, but you can’t scroll like in baconreader. Used baconreader again after a few days of trying Apollo out, and the first ad that popped up had audio which played even though my phone is on silent. I deleted baconreader immediately.

This was far and away my favorite app, not just to browse reddit, but just my favorite in general. HOWEVER, the ads have made this a useless app. A full page ad, that pops up randomly and cannot be removed until it is watched?? This is unreal. I’m so upset you would do this to your customer base.

Really disappointed with the most recent update. I’m starting to see full screen ads that cannot be muted or exited out of. I have to shut down the whole program which completely ruins the browsing experience for me.

Recently started see a lot of pop up ads that cannot be skipped or muted. I have to shut down the up and go back into it which makes me lose my place. Hopefully they will fix this flaw.

MISSING FEATURE: Swipe right/left through saved posts

Why when I go to my profile am I still unable to swipe through my saved posts the same way I can scroll through posts on my frontpage??? I’ve been asking for this feature since BaconReader began. Can we please allow swiping on the saved post section of the app and through the profile pages besides just User Profile->posts
