This game is great but I can’t write the names for anything.

An amazing MtG card creation app

I normally never write reviews for apps, 99% of them are parasitic in nature with microtransactions and ads galore, but this one has stuck out to me in all the right ways. Let’s get the two major things out of the way first before I talk about the functionality of the app itself. There are zero, let me repeat, ZERO ads in this app. You will never be disrupted by a nasty pop-up or mobile game garbage while using this app. There are also, once again, ZERO fees or microtransactions to pay; every feature is available to you, from the start, absolutely for free. This is absolutely incredible in the current world we live in, and the developer(s) of the app have my utmost respect for that, thank you. As for the app itself, it’s basically everything you could ask for in a Magic the Gathering card creator. You can make pretty much anything you want, including Sagas, Tokens, Adventure cards, Vehicles, etc. The only card I believe you can’t make currently are the new AFR class cards, but those are extremely recent cards so I can’t blame the devs for that. The one major downside is that I do not believe that you can make borderless/full art cards, which is a bit of a shame, but everything else works so well that it’s nothing more than a nitpick. All in all, a perfect app to make nearly any card you can imagine, and the creators of the app respect the user enough to keep the awful realities of most mobile apps out of your hands. I’ve used this app to make almost 100 custom cards (making a custom Zelda deck for fun), and I’ve never had a problem with this app once. An easy five star rating, I’d give more if I could.

One suggestion

DerutaZ

Love making cards with this app. I have no problem using its features and it is beautiful. But if I could suggest 1 feature it would be to make our own set icons

I want Vanguard added.

It is a great app, I will make it a 5 star when you add Cardfight Vanguard!

Great app for everything but basic lands

bransm_art

This app does nearly everything for me in an intuitive way. The only thing I would love to see added is the ability to make basic lands. Unless I’m just not seeing it, I can’t get a large mana symbol in the text box. Being able to do this would make this a 5-star app for me.

A Excellent Magic the Gathering custom card maker

Tap Temple/EverChange

There are a two down side is no collection number and emblems.

Very, very excellent

I love this app! It’s easy to use, it offers a good amount of formatting and design options, and you can fine tune details such as text size with ease. I love that you can edit individual parts of the card (title, card type, art, etc.) with a single tap - intuitive and user friendly! I have only one real complaint. I really wish there was a way to view cards one at a time and swipe side to side to the next card. Right now if I want to see a card up close I can tap on it from the gallery, but I have to back out, get through the “save changes?” question that always pops up, and scroll to find the next card. It’s a fairly minor annoyance, but annoying all the same. It would also be super rad to have a full art card frame other than the Ikoria frames - but being able to make full arts at all is really fun, and other card makers I’ve used don’t have any options at all for that, so this one is a super minor thing. Overall - solid 9/10!

Great App!, Very Intuitive!, Some Gaps

locmusub

I have really enjoyed using the app thusfar, as it has all the features I enjoy from the standard Internet card-making sites (like MTG Design, etc) and a little more! The UI is very intuitive and quick-and-easy to use (which is way greater than MTG Design), BUT there are some style gaps. There will always be some amount of gaps in card design (eg: I wouldn’t expect an app like this to have the “roll a d20” charts templated out for AFR), but the fact that there is no auto-template for colored artifacts really bothers me. I hope that will be updated soon!

Best app for Customs

eisstrum

This app is done right the best. It’s easy to use with a great interface and has a lot of options, including both old and new card frames Sagas and all the types of mana you can think of. And you can save your cards in the app. The only thing it is missing is folders to save your cards in, if you making them for set or something it would be great to be able to group them together. But even with that small draw back it’s still gets a 5 star, it just makes up for it in so many ways.
