This app is offloading my pdfs so that they are not available when I need them. There is no option to be able to keep a book or pdf both downloaded on the device and stored in the cloud. When I try to download my offloaded documents there are frequently errors / problems, especially if overall storage is low. It’s easy to find complaints of this issue going back to at least 2018, and yet Apple has done nothing to fix this. A previously good app is now worthless.

I use iBooks for my PDF crochet patterns. Since the iOS15 update it keeps losing my PDFs and I have to download them again. This happened 8 times in a 20 minute period the other day. I have over 2000 and this is getting very frustrating.

How hard can this be? Sync a single number. Kindle does it. 100%. Why can't Apple?

Everything seems to work fine. At least what I do in the app. The only complain that I do have is that we cannot zoom in on pictures.
Drains my battery

This app drains my battery during the night even though I’ve turned off everything I can find to turn off and haven’t even been using it on my phone. Very annoying.

The app is completely broken and not user friendly. Text is missing when renaming. Editing and reorganization is difficult. Please update asap. Love to read on the ipad mini but is broken app rn

Hey I just had this idea and you can have it. Make a widget for iBooks that is a bookshelf and you can press a boom to open right to it.
