Analogy

Analogy questions are often asked in gifted and talented programs. Our newest creation "Analogy" app (to challenge young minds on their cognitive skills), plays a significant role in analytical thinking, problem solving, perception, spatial skills, memory, and creativity. They are often seen on IQ and placement tests as well. This app contains:
Category Price Seller Device
Education $0.99 Nth Fusion LLC iPhone, iPad, iPod

* 450 Analogy questions
* 3 difficulty levels
* Picture Analogies
* Word Analogies
Levels have been carefully chosen. This app is ideally suited for home and classroom use. The picture based analogies take geometry, spatial concepts and present to kids so that he/she can decipher the relationship between pictures. The word based analogies have different kinds of relationships (sameness, or opposites or parent/child etc).
We believe this app can help your kid tremendously.

Perfect idea but too short
Ahalaa

It is a perfect gamed for my kids, but it is too short without ascending levels. Hopefully the developer will extend it more

Needs to be expanded!!!!

Definitely a good one for kids !

Good app! Made my kids pause to think on many occasions, particularly the advanced level. btw, there is a settings button with more options/levels.

Great brain training

I grew up doing these all the time so glad I can now do them with my twin 8 year olds too! Really helps them stop and think! Seems like there are not too many differnt analogys. They reuse the same ones over and over again but mixed up I guess that is good for kids not too challenging for adults. I have only had it for a few days maybe I can change the settings or something. Overall a good app.

Bug?
Darkmatter107

Only about 20 pattern questions available even on harder levels iPhone 4. Devel says 100s so must be a software bug...

I just recently bought this app and the few things that stand out are: the inability to review mistakes after every set of ten (learners need to know what they got wrong and figure out why), the inability to change levels or other settings after every set of ten (when done you are asked to continue and that is it. A yes or no prompt or a yes or back to main menu prompt would be nice), and the inability to track or monitor child/student progress would be also be a nice feature. Otherwise, this app has been missing from the market and a pleasant surprise to have available for kids.

Great game

Keep the new analogies coming!

To easy

It's too easy and there should be harder analogies

Good basics but needs flair to be fun.

The educational value but it needs some work on graphics, audio, and game play. Just adding some texture and using a real human voice and some sound effects would go a long way. A hint after a pause would be good and a little visual explanation when they get it wrong would help too. Less obtrusive scoring with rewards for doing well would be good. Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is probably the best iOS edutainment game I've experienced. If you could put this into that kind of design you'd have a real winner I think.
