Great for single device/ sync never works

KevinFrog111

This app is great on one device especially if you want to split one bank account over several purposes accounts. The sync feature has never worked reliably between min and my wife’s devices and that is with me going to the SVT website and following there support and troubleshooting steps. I need one that will sync reliably. For a multi device scenario don’t spend the money. For one device it is great.

Needed Nee feature added.

I like this app a lot I just wish that there’s a way to add reoccurring, on a specific date but if that specific date happens to be on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) that it will either post on Friday or Monday. Please add this feature

Data failure!

Thegland

After a successful 6 months of successful account reconciliation, the data between the iPhone and iPad got out of sync. This is unacceptable and exactly the type of failure that I was hoping to avoid by leaving the last app. I can no longer recommend this one as a reliable choice. Data preservation and accuracy are exactly what it should do. It failed! Update: After losing everything, I started all over again, entered data, and it still failed the sync!! Some transactions show up in the second device, but some do not! What happened? What a miserable disappointment. Do subject yourself to this. Keep shopping for a better app!! Final update: After excruciating effort to try again, the sync between the iPhone and iPad failed again. Data lost. So disappointing. I will now delete the app. Avoid at all costs and maybe you can not have to suffer the frustration.

Love it!

Boilerbuddha

It’s so easy to keep track of bank accounts, certainly beats paper check registers. A nice feature to add - two dates on recurring payments. The payment date, like now, and a second date, or number of days prior to payment, when it’s listed in the register. Currently you have to anticipate recurring payments and do the mental math to know where you’re at, otherwise you can be surprised by a recurring payment showing up the day it’s to be paid or due. Even so, I love this app!

The best!!

Runnningmom

I love this app! I use it as one place to keep track of all of my accounts-bank, credit cards, credit union, savings. It is definitely one of the most used apps in my phone. I couldn’t imagine not having it after using it for a few years now!

A couple things would make it better

Thormbg

I’ve used this app for quite a few years and haven’t found anything better for me. A couple features that I could use is a way to sync besides through iCloud. My wife and I have different iTunes accounts and sync only works if your on the same. Also different sessions would help me. I manage my dads banking and would like to keep it more separated.

Still waiting

July 31 update: STILL NO WAY TO CONTACT DEVELOPER OUTSIDE OF FACEBOOK WHICH HAS’NT BEEN UPDATED SINCE 2014!???? And maybe add an Apple Watch app too Original review: Had the lite version and bought the OG version and then bought 2. All easy to use. Each upgrade made using this app earlier. However: 1. No way to contact developer. I’ve never had Facebook and never will! 2. It’d be wonderful if “recurring transactions” had the total displayed. 3. As stated previously, the dates and times should coincide with a real calendar so we don’t have to keep changing from 28/30/31. It’ll be closer to perfect.

It’s Fine - Stay Tuned

PART ONE: This app is basic, functional and seems to do what it advertises it will do. I see from comments and from the developers own update frequency, that there hasn’t been, nor will there be, much more development with this group of apps. On the other hand, we’ve all become so acclimatized to software that’s never really finished that we forget that, some products, including software products are done, completed, finished. This suite of apps could be one of those and if that’s even partially accurate, then I think the developer is to be commended. I’m personally beyond weary of buying product that’s never, ever finished. Bug fixes ... Well, up to a point there should be some exception of ongoing support, but after that point you get into the need for subscriptions, which I’m even more sick of than unfinished product. PART TWO: I’m an Ally customer and I use their app, and the only reason I even need to use a separate ledger for checking is because most financial institutions that develop apps don’t provide any sort of built-in ledger or way of keeping a running balance. I find this offensive because it sets up the client for failure and causes unnecessary complication to the end-user in trying to stay on top of what their actual, encumbered balance is. Why would they do this, because they’re now excused to charge the simply outrageous overdraft fees they believe they’re entitled to. I wanted to add “PART TWO” to this review for perspective. If you’re a customer of a bank that provides apps to their customers, demand that they include a built-in ledger that provides an upfront running balance showing all funds, not only those funds that are immediately withdrawn, but, also those funds which you have generated electronic payments for, or, hand-written checks for. Anything less is a scam and it’s about time ALL financial institutions that offer checking accounts grow up and honestly serve their customers. By the way, if you’ve never seen what I’m describing, check out Simple bank app. They feature a “Safe-to-Spend” visible balance that includes ALL funds that have been or are going to be withdrawn from you account. So why don’t I use Simple? I did for six years, then, for a reason I’m sure was all about the bank that backed them, BBVA Compass, they suddenly stopped offering any bill-pay features, promptly send all of their customers paper checks, and essentially said - Have a Nice Day! Other than that, I’d still be with them. Bottom line, stop letting your financial institutions set you up for failure by providing a feature that should, by now, be SOP. (Now I’m going to copy and past this to my Ally app review.)

Spending category doesn’t add up

57829dONEdONE

App makes keeping track of expenses and reconciliation easy, but with some flaws/inaccuracy. Expenses by Category adds all the expenses or debits by category within a month but doesn’t subtract the credits for that same category. For example, I spent $100 in clothes and $40 in refunds after returning a few items. Expenses by Category will show $100 total spending for clothes at the end of the month. It should be $60. Not helpful!

Can’t trust the backup

Gloryshots

This was 4 stars until I had to factory reset my phone. I had everything iCloud synced and even made sure to sync the data in the app before doing the reset. Now that I’ve redownloaded the app and I try to download my info from the cloud it says it cannot find it. So all my data is now gone....and now I’m looking for another app to use as I cannot trust this one.
