Completely changed my mind

I recently purchased the "pro" (non-subscription based) version of this. And while I prefer that, I understand that a subscription based service will work better for some people. Having said that, I also had previously rated this app one star, not only because it was only subscription based, but because I found the UI off-putting. But while this app does take some deep-diving and practice, you can make music right away with it as soon as it starts up. [Edit: I forgot to add and was reminded by the developer response below, that is was a detailed and very point-by-point personal direct response from these guys which made me go back and give it another try. This made me realize, not only how I might been in error, but how much they stand behind their product] Like any musical instrument, it rewards more practice and play. And the fact that there are so many parameters to tweak, change (or not - you can use templates and leave them alone, but where's the fun in that?), modify, etc, only makes for more surprises and creative experimenting. And while I'm sure that the more you understand about what everything means, the more control you have using this, that's not always necessary. You can just experiment, as with modular, old-school analog hardware, and see what happens. And quite often, there are very satisfying results. This is very powerful software. And either for the subscription price, or for the full "pro" non-subscription price, I am convinced that this a great deal. These guys are ***THE*** pioneers along with Eno in generative music. They clearly love it and deserve to make a decent living and be supported for their long-term and continuing work. I have deleted the negative content in my previous review. And I apologize if that version led people astray. Try this at whatever level you are comfortable with, even just the very limited free trial version with no subscription. After a few experiments, I think many people will be convinced as I now am. Highly recommended.

Deep and professional app

If you loved Noatikl and Mixtikl then checking out Wotja is almost required. The guys at Intermorphic Ltd have wrapped up all the great stuff from the earlier apps and delivered them here in a beautiful package. I consider it my number one composing tool when I'm working in the Ambient genre.

IAA is very broken

Jon Mass

Seems like a cool app, but IAA doesn’t work with any hosts I’ve tried, lots of cuts and pops. iPad Pro 10.5, tried in AUM and Cubasis, a total mess in both, even after tweaking settings. May consider buying when this gets ironed out.

Allow in-app ad watching for ability to save once?

lostproductivity

Paywall is draconian... save a single cell in a composition, not the whole thing for future access when you feel like risking $15 again (Not doing that after having my perfectly good Mixtikl 6 app get trashed). Like selling Mario the parts of a hammer before he can smash a single barrel. I guess I will keep my app open to keep this composition safe until I have $15 to burn. Please look at a game like Sonny and you can see how ads can make it a two-way win for developer and uncommitted user.
