Notifications don't disappear when opening app

Last update I now have 55 notifications that won't go away.

Notifications will NOT clear

Same issue with notifications as listed below. Turned off notifications in settings, but they wouldn't clear. Deleted the app over a week ago hoping to clear them. Just reinstalled and notifications are STILL there. Please fix or deletion of app will be permanent.

When I click a breaking news notification to open in app & get more information, nothing is there. Notifications are useless.

Scrolling annoyance

I've noticed that all the apps I use that seemingly use the same format have the extremely annoying scrolling bug. So annoying, I give up & go somewhere else for my info.

Hire a Developer... PLEASE!

The scrolling and bouncing ad issues could be fixed by a 15 year old with 6 months of mobile development experience. Hire a professional to build a real app, and ditch this glitchy piece of crap.

Abnormally aggravating!

Useless as a source of news. Ads cover much of news reports and every story requires watching an ad. Sometimes the same ad is repeated in each succeeding story.

I had an older version for the longest time which was neat and clean to use. Was my go-to news app when the other two stations tried to get too fancy. Recently there is now an annoying pop-up ad after every time I read one news article. This week it is Cathedral High School. It is so bothersome and frequent I am changing news apps and will never donate to or support Cathedral HS. Breaking news has never worked. I get news alerts all the time and go to the app to get more detail - nothing is there. Someone is sleeping on the job. And now with WISH only being local news they should be on top of things. Goodbye WISH news app. It was nice knowing you.

Annoyingly limited

This app isn't worth pressing the download button. The app is very limited In navigation or search. Many news stories are nowhere to be seen. Just several days ago a body was discovered within two blocks of my job, out of concern I thought I should find out any info or resolution. Can't find it. More so it's just flat and uninformative

I agree with the other reviewers. The notifications do not clear after you open the app. They had this same issue with prior versions. I sent an email to the station and received the following reply. Our engineers have fixed the problem and the new app release will have the improvement on it. That should be sent to the app stores in the next week or week and a half. As of January 2016 the app needs work. They fixed the notification problem but now it freezes up. Sometimes it locks up on the "Fetching Article" Screen. It's real frustrating. I've got an iPhone 6s so it's the best iPhone available.
