Original concept has deteriorated

The reason I have multiple digital news subscriptions (Washington Post, NYT) is because of the Skimm, which encourages readers to explore multiple sources. And I’ve gladly paid their small fee for years, without too much burden, as it’s a small amount. However, it seems like more than half of the daily Skimm has become less general interest and more advertisements. I get that everything has ads, but this is for stuff that I have no use for, like $150 vibrators, which is ridiculous, or Instagram feeds about postpartum depression. I get that their main demographic is younger millennial women, and I’m at the top of that range, but at some point, the content should evolve. And the talking down to women has got to stop. Millennials aren’t kids anymore, nor do all of them care about the same things, like having kids or certain “networking’ things. I feel like they need to focus on the news. And drop the fee if the ads keep getting more and more prominent. The Daily Skimm is their main brand - they need to focus on that and stop trying to become an empire. The audios are ok and worth keeping up, but a lot of the other stuff is superfluous, like the Skimm from the couch videos. If you can’t keep the main thing up, you can’t grow the side hustles.

I was hoping for a more neutral news source that just gave a quick overview of what was going on in the world. But it is very one-sided and intentionally leaves out a lot of info that would make you consider the other side of things.

Edit: Thanks for the quick response! After clicking the button again today, it looks like it is working again. Saw a do not sell my information request from theSkimm app but it doesn't actually work. Submitting generates an error every time I try to apply for the request. Please check that this feature works. I happen to already be a paying subscriber and this is hurting my ability to use the app as I take privacy seriously. Thanks
Condensed and easy read

I definitely love reading the skimm every morning. I’m not one for watching the news or reading lengthy news articles. This keeps me up to date with the current events with the option to dive deeper into the subject if so desired. Plus I feel good being knowledgeable about current events in less than ten minutes.
Not Subscribing because....

I have an iPad and an Android phone. Apparently I can't log into my Android phone and access my account because the subscription is through the Apple app store. This is ridiculous!
Problem with UI design

The links while I’m scrolling are so sensitive. I’ll hardly be anywhere near the actual link and it opens up a link. Very annoying and makes it easy to loose track of where you left off. I like the idea of the app but geez, it’s so frustrating that it makes me just want to find a different article online regarding the subject instead.
