If you're a tracker musician, get this now (note: it's more like Jeskola Buzz than FastTracker). Everyone else, learn more about SunVox before buying. SunVox is not a DAW. It is not a synthesizer. You CAN create modular-style synthesizers within it, and it does have a sequencer, and you do make music with it, but it's not remotely like GarageBand, Logic, or Cubase in any other way. It does not rely on a piano roll or recording live playing (though you can record played notes to an extent). The note and automation/controller information is entered manually into what most people would call a spreadsheet-like environment. This has pluses and minuses, but you can read about that elsewhere online. You can use simplistic "chipsound" sound generators, or combine generators and effects to produce complex routings (and compound objects for reuse) that let you do more rich synthesis. SunVox is available free on Mac OS, Windows, and Linux, and even more esoteric platforms like Palm OS (where i first used it on a Tapwave Zodiac). If you've used it on those platforms, you know what you're getting here on iOS: the same, plus some multitouch. The "Touch Theremin" is especially useful on iOS. It makes SunVox an expressive modular synthesis performance instrument. I'm personally not overly fond of the GUI, but it's effective for what this software provides. Check out some YouTube videos before buying, if you're not familiar with Trackers, because this app doesn't deserve low ratings from people who don't know what they're getting into.

SunVox is an extremely powerful music making app that is worth taking the time to look in to. Even if you don't use all of it's features you are bound to find something that will really grab you.

Easily one of the best, if not the best, music making apps on the iOS platform. Essential.

complex, haunting, points towards the amazing new frontier which defines iOS music apps. I always come back to this for inspiration. Go AZ!

I've had this app for a week now messing with it off and on and I can't wait for everyone to go back to work and school so I can let it consume me.. Seems like a may have a new favorite..

It's the only modular studio I've found that doesn't seem makeshift, but this one is much more than sufficient. Maker did an amazing job with the gui, it's the most compelling music software for iOS that I've found by far, and even if you don't get trackers yet, this is one of the simpler ones in terms of actually coding the music. All the complexity is in the modularity, which you can go really simple or complex with, depending on whatever you feel like doing. I'm rambling. Amazing app, only one I have on my phone besides Soundcloud and Instagram
