I love this app, but I was also experiencing the problem where the game pauses at startup. The initial animation with the card suits freezes, and then when the game starts, you tap a card, and nothing happens for about 5-10 seconds. After the game finally responds to the initial card tap, it works as normal until you go away and come back much later, at which point you get the freezing card suit animation again. I fixed this by shutting my phone down completely and restarting it. After I did that, the game worked much better.

THE BEST SOLITAIRE GAME!!

I am an avid Solitaire player, and thoroughly enjoy this particular Solitaire version. I tend to only order/play games or other modicums (The Weather Channel, etc.) in versions that allow complete freedom from advertisements. This version of Solitaire allows that option, which is one reason I so highly value this game. Another is the freedom to select card types (backs, fronts, formats, backgrounds, etc.) immediately, and as often as one wishes. The option to download content from one’s saved photos, etc., is another reason I love this app. I use a photo of my young grandson, clutching his Sloth Christmas Gift Pillow, as the back of my Solitaire cards. The app’s ability to store information is another great feature, as is the Daily Challenge, whereby your accumulated solved puzzles are updated to show your current level, as well as your earned trophies (Bronze for 10 completed wins; Silver for 20 wins, and Gold for completed months). All in all, my satisfaction with this Solitaire Game is the highest

Great game, eats battery like crazy

After playing the free brainium solitaire for years I got fed up with the ad-supported extortion and looked for a new game. The mobilityware solitaire looked good, kept the same sorts of statistics, and had a bunch of fun extras. The ads were less obnoxious (at least initially - honestly I think iAds and in-app purchases are ruining the platform), so eventually I decided to forego the progress made on the free version and buy the paid version. No more ads, same gameplay. To the people who complain about randomness, there’s an option for that. I have mine set for full random because I really dislike games that are too easy. One thing I’ve noticed on the paid version is that I can’t play older daily challenges like I could on the free version. That may have been a promotion or an “unlock”, I don’t know, but the paid version doesn’t get the same love for sure. My main issue with this game is battery life. For some reason the paid version eats battery like crazy, way more than the ad-guzzling brainium version or the ad-supported free mobilityware version. I’ve set everything I could to reduce battery - reduce brightness, reduce animations, etc. Nothing helps. Even with reduced animations there are still a ton of flashy graphics, some maybe thats the issue. Maybe a slider to adjust them from full to none would help. I used to play brainium for hours on long flights. This game? Sometimes I lose 1% per game! I can stream movies for hours or play other games but with this game it’s almost as if there is some underlying process like a crypto miner sucking up battery while I’m playing. Maybe its Game Center, maybe the ads are still there in the background, I really don’t know, but there is something very wrong. I’d give this game five stars if it weren’t for the abysmal battery life.

Fun and configurable.

I like this game the most out of all the versions of solitaire that have come and gone from the App Store. And it is still here. :-)

Basic! Just the way I like it.

Nothing fancy or frills added. Just a simple game of mindless solitaire. Play it every night until I fall asleep.

Super pass time

I never get tired of playing this game app.

Not a true deal of the cards

I enjoy the user interface but the dealing of the cards are not true to the card game. The software stacks the deck either for you to lose or win...at its choice. Nothing truly random as if you were playing with a real deck of cards.

Great Game

The Real Middleman

Best solitaire for the IPad. I enjoy playing it a lot.
