Shoot: the better business card

Shoot allows you to quickly create a card with your photo, contact info, social network links, and all the information that you might want to share with people you meet. All you need is a person's email address to send them a rich-text message containing your information as well as a vCard file so they can quickly add you to their address book. Create separate cards for business, personal, or any other way that you want to represent yourself. Share more info with some people, less with others.

Business cards are antiquated. We forget to bring them with us. We often want different types of cards to give to different people. They get lost. They require manual entry. And they often have the wrong information on them so we end up writing on the front or back of the card to add or correct relevant information.

But business cards have a deeper problem though – processing. When do most of us process the cards which we receive at conferences or other events? It's usually while we're emptying our pockets at the end of the day. We toss them in a pile on the nightstand and often don't revisit them again until much later... or not at all.

Shoot sends emails. The recipient doesn't need any special apps or anything other than an email address. Your recipient receives your card via email and processes your information when she sits down to her inbox ready to process new information. She receives a beautiful formatted HTML email with your profile card, your picture, a map of the location where you met, and optionally a note to remind her who you are. The email also includes a .vcf file which recipients can click to immediately add you to her address book.

Shoot cards can be professional enough to use for business interactions or casual enough to use for more personal interactions.
