I've been using this app for years, but lately the ads taking over the entire screen that have to be clicked closed is incredibly annoying. Sometimes it's every 5 mins, sometimes every 15 seconds. What is this, the early 2000s? I'm thinking this actually isn't intentional design, but it's happened in years past (just not to this degree) so I'm not sure.
One of the best iOS Reddit apps until they started making intrusive, full screen ads... why? And if you close the app, the ad follows and goes to your Home Screen! What is that? The full screen ads aren’t even full screen - they’re the same size they would be if they were at the bottom of your screen, but now with a black background blocking everything else out. I only liked this app because of how minimal it was, but it’s not worth it for intrusive ads. I’m just gonna use Apollo until this is resolved...
It offers to restore purchase, says it’s restored, but the ads are still there. I love it on my phone, but iPad version is getting 2 stars
The update frequency of the app has been really slow. We are still missing many key features, especially to do with flairs and flair filtering. It’s important to be able to filter out or browse by flairs.
As the title states. It’s a good app for overall function. But iOS 15.2 broke the imagine post upload. You can’t hit submit after you selected a picture. Maybe move the option up to the top?
Can’t have app open and listen to music on apps such as spotify or apple music because ads will routinely silence them. Used to be rare but recently it’s been 100% of the time.
Interface and navigation is very intuitive. Loading posts a lot faster than the reddit app. Highly recommend!
The app consistently forces whatever audio you might have in the background-audiobook, podcast, music…to stop playing after a few minutes of scrolling. Something is off, and I think it’s the way the app serves you ads across the bottom of the screen once you're into your post and reading comments. This app needs to stay in its little sandbox and stop trying to exercise authority it isn’t given by pausing system level audio from playing. If I want it paused, I will pause it myself.
