I wanted to love this app but it leaves a lot to be desired. Not all the expansions are included, some errors in the rules (the corn circles for example), and many glaring omissions. Good idea, poor application.
This nicely designed app is a convenient and easy way to explain to uninformed players how the different parts of the various Carcassonne expansions work. The ability to randomize which expansions to use is also nice, especially because you can select each rule as a different expansion. For example, it might include the large follower rule from Inns & Cathedrals, but not select the cathedral scoring option. It's a fun way to mix and match all the various rules, and get a new game each time. Learn from the rulebook, but keep this app handy. Waving it at a noob can really help keep things on track. Thanks!
I own almost all of these expansions, so this is a great tool for Carcassonne night. The randomize feature actually gets used a lot for games with my lady.
It's alright, but it could really use a tile counter...I am sorry I spent money on it...
Overall a good reference point, but could use some more directions to the expansions
I really like this app. My only complaints are I wish it had the Gingerbread Man expansion from the Winter Edition. And another great feature to add would be to include a built in scoreboard/score keeper that does all scores/all functions of the game you are playing (w/included expansions) and also will calculate end game scoring. Those are just two suggestions that would help make this the definitive, go-to Carcassonne app on the market. But even without those features this is still a great app that will quickly help you refer to the rules you are playing with and allows you to input the expansions you have. But yeah, if you're listening developers, please add the gingerbread man and any other expansions that you haven't, please. Then a scoring system. Thank you! Great app.
