I consistently tap for some songs that are obviously in the 120s range and this app nearly always starts off 30 bpms below that and climbs towards the 120s with each tap, sometimes taking over 30 seconds to get in the range that make sense. It doesn’t produce consistent numbers that correspond with what you tap. Wanted to like this app but there are ones out there that get the job done faster.
Works as expected but there isn’t a reset button. Kinda annoying you have to close the app to reset it.
I am working with a singer-songwriter on getting some of her songs tracked, and we needed to get tempos for a click track. Her tempos change within a given song, so this app makes it easy to determine the tempo at various places. No ads, and it just works. Thanks!
Nice minimalistic design. No ads. However, it calculated bpm using a perpetual average, so it responds slow to change the longer you pulse. Author should use a limited running average or an exponential running average so it responds to change faster.
idk why this got bad reviews. it works fine for me. i’ll come back if for some reason it doesn’t work but it did what i needed it to do which was allow me to find the bpm of a song.
I actually don’t understand the reviews claiming this app is fake and doesn’t do anything. Did they ignore the instruction on it that says “tap me”? I’m an indoor cycling coach and needed an app to figure out the beats per minute for songs I want to use for my workouts for when I want people at a particular RPM range. This does exactly what it says.
