I have a google account and never had any issues. I still use AOL for junk mail, but my account has been compromised way to many times. I wouldn’t suggest the app or an aol email. Stick with Gmail or another service. Aol doesn’t protect you, unless you pay them. My main account had passwords and all on the dark web. So I decided to check Gmail. My Gmail was fine, but then checked my fathers Aol account. It was compromised too. I just don’t trust AOL anymore. My father has had his debit card stolen about 4x. I wouldn’t store a CC with them. I could go on, but waste my time or yours. Hope this helps.

Please disable annoying ads

Whenever I go into my inbox, of my iPhone aol mail app, then after a few seconds an ad appears all the way at the very top. The problem with it is that it appears above the very first email, and pushes down that very first email right below it, within a few seconds. Its obviously programmed like this in the hopes of deceiving people to click those ads, during their attempt to click the first email, at the top of their inbox. This is unfair. Please disable it! I know ads pay your bills but please do it more ethically and disable these ads or at least display them the moment you access your inbox, instead of deliberately programming that 3-5 second delay in the hopes of forcing people to engage with those ads. This is why ad blockers were created to counter annoying ads.

Don’t know what to say or do because I can’t get to my mail! I went into the app and all I get is the rotating time circle, whatever it’s called! I used to just use the mail app that came with the phone. Ever since I got this app I can’t use the main app! I think I need to get rid of this AOL app! It’s been giving me problems! If I want to send a file I can’t use the prompts the phone gives me because it goes to the iPhone mail app and will not send ANYTHING! I’m getting sick of taking 6-7 steps to send pictures or any attachments with just 2 clicks! AAAAHHHHH! I’m going nuts!

Seems like the news headline shown never is matched with corresponding video. Maybe it’s intentional but it makes it look like there’s someone not knowing what they’re doing. I click to watch about headline and it’s completely different it’s really annoying and should be addressed.

Lately, emails will not download. When it does, I’m getting overloaded with spam/junk/trolls.

Ever since the app was updated a week ago I cannot open my contacts on my iPhone when I open the AOL app I can view my emails when I go over to the contacts section they’re not there they’re there on the web mail but not in the AOL mobile app

Not So Sure About this App

Was informed by AOL that 3rd party mail apps are no longer being used. I will keep the 3rd party app for the following reasons. First, I do not want ads posted in my mailbox and can’t turn that feature off. Second, I only want a mail app, not news, etc. 11/8/21: Still get ads in my inbox, still not happy that this was never turned off. Since IOS 15 update, all my emails are duplicated, why??
